I don't think I fully understand that. I just know that Sargent was planned to play Darrin, but Sargent had another contract, so I think they opened up the part and found Dick York, who happened to be better. I'm not saying that Bill liked Sargent better than York, just that they saw Sargent first. Everything you said is true, but I just wanna clarify what I meant.

Yes. York episodes were more romantic, but he wasn't the whole reason of the show ending. Liz got really tired of it and her will to continue went down. Sargent wasn't as good, be he was actually the original choice to play darrin, and Tammy grimes was to play Sam. But they couldn't because they had another contract, on the same show, coincedentally. York got the role with Lizzie by sitting on her lap after the audition and saying " look, aren't we cute together? You have to hire us!!"..

@PandoraSpocks14 Bill Asher said that Sargent came in second place after York. York was always the favorite to play Darrin. And he even said that he never thought that Sargent was nearly as good as York.

For some reason when they have the most touching scenes where their foundation of their relationship surfaces, They play the theme to the show in such a great way. They never did it with the 2nd Darrin. Which shows that York was the real Darrin. Also they never used Sheila Sommers again after York Left the show. Dick Sargent just didn't have what it took and the audience left in droves and ratings dropped. from season 6 on

That dress is really Pink its been used in a few of the color shows. But this totally brings out her Green Eyes. Sam is always the Voice of Reason. She never Lied to him ever. Which is why she used to get so Angry through out the show when he accused her of lying. She just wanted him to be happy ..
