Gradius the Arcade is an awfully cute game and I love it ^_^. And it sure is best for beginners I'll bet I can beat it with no deaths at all ^_^.

Of course it is ^_^. And I hate that glitch where you can't get that power up because it is too far up too in gradius ii >:(.

When the music stops, I think it's because, since the scrolling is consistant, the music is programmed to only play for so long, and because your game was going slower, the scrolling took longer, and the music stopped before you got to the boss... That's my hypothesis...

Wow, I don't know what's up with Gradius II, but it's like when I play Gradius II via the PlayStation Gradius Deluxe Pack on my PlayStation 2, fat and slim: the game runs at half speed until Stage 3, making it too easy and just ruining everything. Just like Gradius Deluxe Pack Gradius II, the music ends before the Stage. Lame!

I don't care, I'm picking this up when I'll buy a PlayStation Portable. All I have for portable Gradius is Gradius Generation(GameBoy Advance) and Nemesis(GameBoy B&W)

@aliultimate009 i'm on my 4th PSP as of a few weeks ago if you're wondering here is a list of what happened to the other 3:

1:PSP 1001(1=US 0=Japan) 2005-2006 peice fell of had insurance paid 20$ for a new one.

2:PSP 1001-2006-2006 WTF "R" trigger stop working paid 20$ for a new one.

3:PSP 1001 2006-2010 Metal Pin inside AC adapter broke no insurance.

4:PSP 2001 paid 100$ used could have hacked it but was too excited to play Gradius off my MS which needed OFW 6.10 or higher PSP is 6.31

oh man O_o .... i think you need to be more careful on using it for not to pay for more or it'll effect your situation for playing newer games :(

i highly advice you to play it on your bed but in a good location or on the ground for not to fall and crash it like heck - like what happened to me many times ago sadly :(

The TG-CD version of gradius 2: Gofer No Yabou corrected alot f problems the arcade had. And even had a bonus stage ^-^. But down graded graphics -_-. BUT THE MUSIC WAS INTACT :3

Ah, man, I NEED a Super System Card for my TurboGrafx CD. I've got a copy of Gradius II for the PC Engine Super CD-ROM, but I have to rely on the inaccurate emulation of the TurboGrafx on the Virtual Console to play Gradius II because I only have the standard TurboGrafx CD System Card.

It really bothers me: I got my Gradius II disc sitting with all my other Gradius discs/cartridges, but I can't play it because I have the TurboGrafx and TurboGrafx CD, but not the Super System Card. The big problem is that I have to import a Super System Card from Japan because the North American Super System Card is crazy expensive. It may be a problem for some, but not for me because I have both a stock and region-switched TurboGrafx to play Japanese HuCards.

And I'll be sure to post a Gaming Session of the PC Engine Super CD-ROM Gradius II when I get my Super System Card. If it takes too long, however, I'll do one with the Virtual Console re-release on my Wii and then put up a "Take 2" like I did for Gradius Rebirth when I get the Super System Card.

and GRadius III -shivers- it is BLOODY HELLISH f------- HARD!!! D:
