  • looks like some awesome water flow. music might be a bit overdoing it though

  • Metal !!

  • Why not just get a small internal filter and just use the power head from it?

    There like $20.

  • Why We need to make wave in a aquarium ?!

  • @shadowflare99 It gives a larger surface area so the water can absorb more air so the fish can breathe :)

  • horrible for the pump but good job nonetheless

  • I had to mute the sound to watch this video.

  • do you have to have waves though? I mean the fish won't die if you don't have them right?

  • dumb ass its for the coral

  • the circuit is called a 555 timer

  • hey so can u make a video showin how u look and maked it inside out

  • can you make a vid showin how you make ur controller

  • what song is this

  • @beechcraft12 power rangers theem

  • Nice! What size tank is that? I just picked up a new Aquasurf to run with my ACIII to do the same thing. Maybe I won't need two 6100s when I can pulse the pump faster than the 7091 controller will...

  • thats also not a 6101 (i can tell by the larger slats on the suction housing) its prolly a 6301-- btw yur going to burn up your pump

even vortech mp40s burn up on fast pulse

  • Pulsed a Vortech for over two years now without a hitch... It's what they're designed to do.

  • cool but, one thing is it the overflow box blockes up. then the waves go into it filling up the box, therefore overflowing the overflow box....

  • Go Go power rangers!

  • i know that timer IC

  • What he said.↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓

  • you should post another vid showing EXACTLY what you did. It looks like an awesome mod.

  • On / off on/Off that pump will burn

  • Thats what there designed for, Electric motors that are variable frequency controlled can pulse on off as much as you want and never have to reach full rpm. This is not one of those, but you are speaking as if just because its pulsing its gonna burn up, Variable frequency drives can make motors do any desired motion without burning up, changing the heartz and volts rather than just volts so that the it does not draw more current. Higher voltage less amps, lwr voltage higher amps, Think next time

  • @jms9618

so is that why the vortechs MP40 variable frequency motors burn out after a month of being on fast/quick pulse???? How is that same 6101 running these days??? still have it on this mode??? and it has yet to burn up??? I talked to roger Vitko of TUNZE USA- and he said that quick of change in the RPMs WILL shorten motor life ! so think next time dude!

  • @bavarianv8 Mine have been running fast pulse for a yr plus!! Haha sorry you dont know how to set up your stuff. Quick rpm change of a non VFD controllable mtor shortens its life because those motors cool them selves at max rpm. Dont speak on a subject just because you spoke with someone who knows. Roger is correct in that using a normal motor as a VFD motor you will ruin it. It will burn it up. You are the first person I have heard complain about a burnt up vortech , crediting it towards

  • @bavarianv8 the fast pulse method. Mine run flawlessly

  • @paulochinak

Nope. The pump is a 6100 which has no clutch (unlike a 6060 or 6080) It's been operating like this (on-off-on-off) for about 8 years now. Tunzes are amazing, reliable pumps.

  • @xtmreef just like vortech :)

  • very googd job...but the frequency of the waves is too fast.

  • maybe it can be done, but you're not supposed to turn tunze's on and off like that. Once every 15 mins is okay

  • wave box is probably GOOD IDEA FOR BREEDING TROPICAL FISH-+ GO GO POWA RANGAS!!!

  • very good really

what model for this power head

  • GO GO POWAH RANGAZ LOL

  • does it ramp the power head up? I would suspect the way those are jumping that it is a hard power on which has to be hard on them. How long have you let them run for on existing parts?

  • Rough ocean!

  • tunze stream 6100

  • What kind of power head is that?
