Regarding Renella, a few years back a guy on Illinoismatmen claims to have majored him during the year Mike won his first (1991) of two titles. The problem is that Renella was undefeated that season, 44-0. "The older I get, the better I was!"
I remember watching the Russow celebration. He had a rep of being a bit rough with his opponents his Jr and Sr year. When we had enough of a lead to win during a dual we forfeited the heavyweight match to keep our guy from getting thrashed
hahah in the first one the coach, tom arlis, is now my photographt teacher at naperville north, not sure where he coached tho. ill ask him tomorow :)
