This makes me ashamed to be a volunteer firefighter! Living in this same area, I know what it's like to get a call like this and I also respond in a similar way, but youtube is no place for this.

I am a FF myself I have been shooting video of myself going to calls as well when I'm driving the rig. As one person said it can be shown for legal matters that's 100% true! I was responding in my POV got cut off and crashed into that car and flipped my truck if it wasn't for my video the cops might have found me at fault. All you idiots,listen to the damn radio in his truck, you can tell by what they are saying the call just came through,and he didnt waste anytime with the camera or any other shit you are saying!! He DID NOT run any stop signs nor the red light, the car coming at him pulled to the side giving him the right of way,and the light turned green!! Plus i didnt see any trucks leaving the sattion, so it looks like he was one of the first there! Great job guys stay safe!!

Anyone who continues to say that filming this was bad, it's up to the department, or local law really. For one, there is no law forbidding this that I am aware of. Second, I am a junior firefighter, my department has be take pictures of scenes, some for our wall, some could be used for legal purposes. I have also began taping my POV responses, it isn't a crime, it's a moral issue at best.

Thank You to everyone who has said positive things to say about my Response. For everyone else i did not run any stop signs or run the red light! The camera shoots faster than i was really going. If you really knew what the roads looked like out by me you would understand. Thanks.

I am a volunteer firefighter out here in indiana.. I have no problems with people posting you tube videos about their dispatch... the problem was blowing stop signs and red lights.. we get in some serious trouble for that..

Im sure the camera is mounted on the dash and all he has to do is press the button which takes a milisecond right?And i live pretty close to where this vid was shot and i can tell you like he said if you knew the roads you would understand,there is minimum traffic,so a quick stop if fine! I always give the right of way to the volunteers,me being a explorer myself! The other cars dont have to let you go but if they do u go! Its the right thing 2 do!

Okay, the poster of this video was not wrong in his actions. There was no traffic around and you can tell by seeing no head lights. HE DID STOP AT THE STOP SIGN he didnt keep accelerating through it; however brief the stop was, it was a stop. At the red light he stopped and it turned green as he started you can see the green reflection. I stand by this fire fighter if i was in a bad car wreck I want him there as fast as possible without killing or hurting others in the process.

I have a Signal sound off led dash light, and two pairs of code 3 xt3 grill lights....i also have ambers in the rear....they are all powered by a galls switch box....check out my other vid for the ambers...
