The artifical space looks threatening at first... the building is about to oppress the man. But somehow I don't feel a real danger. The way of escape is shown - I mean not so much the escalator as the open air, the wide sunset sky and the splashing water. Tender is the night, as the poet said...
A bridge-shaped building and a real bridge - the composition looks to imitate them, and your presence looks as heavy as a pillar. I think it a great work, a true masterpiece.
I love the crazy piano soundtrack, synchronized with shots. You're very clever making videos. (minute 0:42 "Jesus Diamante" this is spanish language). Hugs from Spain :))
Love the escalator scene @3:00 . WEll Im glad that was in Osaka and not Kyoto because I missed it. LOL!!! Love the closing too. You guys are the best!
Nice...I wanted to visit this building the last time I was in Osaka, but I hurt my knee dancing in kakaoke...very cool building, hope to see it next time : )
Yoko-san, your videos must be some of the best on YouTube. One after the next they are consistently like watching art in motion. Thank you for another creatively crafted one. Love the escalator piano music.
Interesting building to say the least. It has quite a view up there! Yoko i really think you could do professional film work(if you don't already). You sure find excellent shots and scenes at any location. Please have a great weekend and be well!
I was here on my trip, and got some beautiful pictures. I love taking pics of modern architecture, even though I'm old school in general and prefer simpler times. In Japan they know how to harmoniously mix the new with the old, and keep things clean. If pulled off correctly the results can be stunning.
And it's clear that the person shooting these videos has an eye for this type of art too, and totally gets what I'm saying.

What a strange building, I kind of want to make my house in a nest hanging from it. It looks like it is getting chilly there, don't catch a cold now.

But then again, we could probably stick Yoko in front of a dumpster in a shady Harlem back alley, and it'd be art. She's just gorgeous.
