In fact, the 2005 SC team was also listed even with the loss to the longhorn refs that over saw the game. it was the greatest game ever won by refs in the history of any rose bowl.

Tech actually played pretty well in this game considering the fact that they weren't ranked, playing against the number 1 ranked team who went to dominate OU in the NC game. Actually if my memory serves, VT had a late potential scoring drive killed by an offensive pass inteference call that didnt happen. Tech had to turn the ball over, and USC then scored its final TD. That bad call went a long way to save the Trojans that day.

TRUTH: tech is one the few teams that has had 10 wins the last 4-5 years. Truth: tech is also one the most consistent top15 team the past 7-8 years. Truth: tech is the only team to have won multiple conference titles in the BCS conference and NOT WIN A TITLE. they say the truth hurts, which is what i keep telling hokie fans beamer ball offense doesnt produce titles. whats there to hate again??

Actually he and Cheeseburger Charlie Weiss MIGHT make it to the Never Ending Pasta Bowl next year, presented by the Olive Garden. Hell even if neither team plays, they'll make so much money off the two coaches, that it will more than make up for it. That ND team was so bad this past year though, I don't know how they can improve enough in one year to make a bowl.

I wish my Horns would set up a game like this, maybe play Miami or UF or Tennessee in the Georgia Dome or Penn State at the RCA dome. I know Clemson and Bama are doing something like this in the Georgia Dome this year. I hope it catches on because this encourages big time matchups on great fields, with the neutral site built in.

Tech actually played pretty well in this game considering the fact that they weren't ranked, playing against the number 1 ranked team who went to dominate OU in the NC game. They played at a neutral site too. This was such a cool game too, played right in the heart of DC (I'm guessing Skins stadium).

Tech led at halftime. Give USC credit for playing good road games, but Tech wasn't even ranked when they played them. Both Nebraska and Auburn were terrible the years they played USC. USC is one of the best, but the timing in which they played said opponents really couldn't have been any better for USC.

Actually if my memory serves, VT had a late potential scoring drive killed by an offensive pass inteference call that didnt happen. Tech had to turn the ball over, and USC then scored its final TD. That bad call went a long way to save the Trojans that day.
