thats fine. I don't care if he can't change directions, he's a great compliment to boom in the backfield and with him and TP running the option, DAMN! But he is not starter.
@buckeyeboyh5 he's way better than "boom", he plays more and has better stats. Heron might be a little more explosive but Saine is more productive. Both of them compliment each other.
Saine only has better stats because of what he's used for. How many times do you see him take the ball up the middle? Rarely. Herron is used as our bruiser every down back cause he's denser and more durable (martin would be way better for that but hey, i'm not wearing the vest), so he doesn't have as good of stats. Stats can be very deceiving. But I don't think either would be productive without the other. Honestly, last year i think our best running back was terrelle pryor.
Thats way I love this years offense way more then the last couple of years where like 95% of the time Beanie got the ball. We have way more go to RB's now including Pryor. Really when you think about it Saine, Boom, Posey, Sanzenbacher and evrybody else are just there to compliment Pryor's amazing talent that he has yet to show complete.
there is always a place for a guy likr this on the field. Special teams, slot receiver, maybe some double reverses, fact is, kid is big and fast, but your all right, he doesnt have those quick littlemoves you need at rb
first of all, please dont wtf me, ok? Second, I was saying he is a great athlete, has some really good moves, but he should be moved around a little, Tress does this well actually. Maybe I was being a little critical? Nice example. We have a LOT of great RBs, so I think the ball should be spread out next year. I even think Jermil Martin looked good
Well for starters this is a video from his Jr. year not his Sr. year. Also in the Ashland game he still scored a TD which is more then the entire Ashland offense did!
he just broke a 23 yrd TD in the Jersey scrimmage the other day for OSU....he'll be a much bigger part of the offense this season. WIth Saine and Lamaar Flash Thomas OSU will really turn on the afterburners this year on off...... and then, of course.... there's a guy named Beanie Wells.
slow as dirt???? LOLOLOL. first off he's not going to play 4 more years second off, if he wasn't behind a potential heisman winning HB he would already be starting. third he is possibly the fastest guy on OSU. I dont know how fast Small is. anyway, that comment was just inSAINE
First off he is the fastest player on OSU. Second off his agility and quickness is terrible. His straight line speed is great but his lateral movement is worst than Todd Boeckman. 3rd the guy is not going to start cause Michael hall is going to be the starting RB in 09
He can catch passes, and I'm sure he's still in the learning/improving stages of blocking. Bo Jackson was a lot bigger than Saine is, though. He has a LONG way to go until he is even compared to Bo Jackson.
I just checked, and Saine is 6'1" and 220lbs. I saw him run at the state track meet, and he looked 5'10"ish. So, I stand corrected. If he ends up being like Bo Jackson, then I'll be a happy Buckeye fan!
It's so odd watching him because he doesn't "look" that fast or like he's running hard yet he's blowing by people. He's got a rare combination of size, power, and speed. He had a great game against Washington on Saturday.
I'll never get a chance to put a highlight reel on youtube, unless its from freshman JV or 8th grade, i've broken the same ankle twice in 2 seasons, o well at least i have some great guys to look up to huh

Cincinnati put an end to Independence (NC)'s 109-game winning streak (national record for public school) tonight by 3 points in OT. Wow! Way to go, Elder!
dang.... hope he lives up to his hype..... be nice to flex him in with both wells... or use him in open spaces/screens take pressure of our undeveloped QB's .... only concern for this season is the QB and WR positions.... robiskie showed sparks of his fire last season....Ray small could be the other starter.... lets hope Antonio Henton young and undeveloped steps up this year if not forsure next year to keep them big ten Defenses quessing with the pass or run.....
I don't know about you guys but watching this is getting me charged for the upcoming Ohio St. season. I hope Saine is as good as advertised. GO BUCKS!!!!!
Saine at 6' 210 10.27 4.3 should either push Wells for time or be inserted as yet another unknown talented reciever. Just another reason why the Buckeyes are underrated this preseason. OSU's o-line looks stellar! To give the O a boost in the arm....Small and Saine WILL see the ball early and often...
Hey guys, fellow bucks fan here. What do you guys think about trying Saine out at WR while he's a freshman? We are a little thin at the position, and we already have Beanie and Mo wells at RB. I think he could help us out more at WR, at least for the 2007 season
Yes, early word on the street (and has been for a few months) is that Saine will start out as a slot back similar to what Gonzo was. I'm sure they'll move Saine around a lot more than Gonzo, but it's hard to NOT have Saine's speed on the field.
I dont play football for school, I'm a striker on the soccer team, and I'm an indoor and outdoor sprinter, I've anchored the 4x1 4x2 and 4x4 relays since my junior year.
and speaking from experience, that kid cant just right "lightning" on his next work resume.
ill admit running with 10lbs of pads is different than running with 6oz shoes and an even lighter speedsuit. so yes in a way track speed and football speed are different. albeit not much.
look up the numbers.. they speak for themselves. yuou should hire someone to speak for you...since your speech and or writing comes outta your ass....blow me....peace

theres no way id say boom is better tho...just look at the games boom was injured last year and how well saine played by himself
