You have a flawless incorporation of characters in this vid, and the way that all of them connect to each other through their fear, their pain, their joy, and their humanity. The transitions between all of these emotions is fantastic, and an authentic retelling of the odyssey of our favorite heroes and the people that matter to them. Love the use of Castiel's appearance for the "moon and stars" bit. And the best message with those final clips: the love is what lasts rather than hurt

Basically this vid reminds me that while these boys have had me gushing tears, heart pounding, knuckles white, reaching for the tissue box blindly, they’ve also had me feel-good laughing and smiling ear to ear. It doesn’t focus on the angsty, and it doesn’t focus on the funny; it brings it all together, everything. The whole show in just under four minutes. What about everything? I LOVE IT. If Supernatural ever wanted a theme song opening sequence, I would want this to be it.

that’s been their LIFE, both of them, though especially Sam, cuz Dean at least remembers a life before; this is literally all Sam knows. Their entire lives have been and are centered around others (“Harm’s way doesn’t really bother me”), and THAT’S what it all adds up to.

Like when Dean told young John not to worry about doing the symbol to keep the angels away because it had to be doe in blood and they’re always trying to keep the normal people normal and as innocent as possible to make sure everyone else can have the life that they can’t. And it just goes back to what Bobby said in Two Minutes to Midnight about how Sam has been running into burning buildings (“What about when buildings fall?”) his entire life--

great character BUT THEN what about that awful scene and that sad/painful/angsty time and those tears and that time that great character died, and just what about EVERYTHING? What about all of it put together? What does it all add up to? The whole song is question after question until: “I am not in need”

That’s really what makes it ok in the end, but at the same time kinda makes me wanna cry cuz it just encapsulates their whole self-sacrificial thing. They’re ok, as long as the kids get out

there are three clips at 3:02, so I'm not sure which ones you mean, but Zack is from Sympathy for the Devil, Cas is from Heaven and Hell, and Dean is also from Sympathy for the Devil.
