I'm still doing my research on UKIP. but so far i've been impressed by their opposition to the EU and apparent policies to work towards the decentralization of political power. the jury is still out though, as i'm finding it hard to shake my apathetic feelings towards politics in this country which have been growing over the past few years.
Yeah I know the feeling but for me UKIP looks like the best bet for (in my case English) politics. I'm not going to vote for the lib/lab/con trick, BNP or Greens.
@videochemist i support most of the points made by UKIP but i have mix feeling on banning the burka because i know security risk but maybe eye scan could be used but a freedom taken away that i don't agree it too
Not only that peacemaker but if you look at discussions about the veil, it seems as though many many more women have their liberty taken away by this garment than actually say it liberates them? Also it is not really a religious garment, more man made than that. I mean one of the main reasons behind the Burqa/Veil, is that women should cover themselves up to protect themselves from unwanted advances and sexual assault from men. I find that offensive as guy really?? A bit backward I think.
They want us to think it is based on the USA model but with an un-elected President, Foreign minister and other bureaucrats making new laws it is more like the new USSR.
