  • Sexy Guitar is what I would call that.. Very Nice mate

  • That was sweet. Like nectar of the Gods my friend...

  • Beautiful job.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • a great low profile guy! I would like to know his name. A great guitar player! wonderful!

  • @maiasomer Thank you very much. The first 2 tags on the video are my name :)

Maybe I should upload something new one of these days, haven't done so in a long while now.

  • @edudzzaj Thank you for answer. I'm a guitar player too, since my 4 years old and i'm 55 now. I love this music...and I love Stanley Jordan's version. Your version is too important and cool...pay it more!

  • DUDE! Could u make a tutorial vid for this please????

  • @MrBlainehelm I am a really horrible teacher, I tried doing a tutorial, but end up trying to cover every detail and end up "...oh I been talking for 10 minutes and most of it was rubbish."

Also short of writing full tabs, there would be a bit of chord theory to cover, which I'm not really good at either. I will try do a video showing some of the basic licks etc tho since a few asked :)

  • What mic is that ?

  • i was deeply moved by this

  • @Myoldcountry1 wow, thanks :)

  • very nice

  • you sex machine you

  • WOW....great....now i need to play more........marvelous. INSPIRATIONAL!!!!!

    thanks for that.

  • What an adorable work man! That´s why i love acoustic jazz, you can hear every bend, crack and sound. Really enjoyable man, great arrangement, nice feel. What an inspiration to practice! Thanks again,

    B.

  • @Praclik22 Thanks, great comment. Myself I been more into electric guitars lately, but you defined the qualities I love about acoustics really well in that sentence :)

That it inspires you to practise is the best compliment of all! Thanks for listening and commenting.

  • Haha, how could you dislike this? :O

  • Its often useful to keep in mind to perform the 'Song' and play around it, don't let it get lost amongst noodling

  • is that a martin dx1r?

  • @horbergaren It's a Martin D-1, from one of the early batches with laminate sides not solid sides like the current ones. However, I have compared it to d-18s, d-28's, gibson acoustics, taylors, etc and I wouldn't swap this axe for any of them.

  • @edudzzaj yeah, martins are the best, i have a dx1-r

  • Simply fantastic. Love it!

  • how the hell did you do that

  • @horbergaren do what :)

  • Hey man great work.. It's inspiring to see people turning old classics in to their own personal versions :) Keep up the good work!

  • @bilbonks2004 Hey, thanks for that, and for sub - glad to have ya.

  • Charlie Manson you have been practicing...........a long time I presume!

  • @tonypadrone1 Yea I try to squeeze in some practise time between the culties.

  • Wow man that was great....would you put up a video of some of those licks that you play in that they are so smooth....

  • @littlemanmays1187 Hey thanks alot, and sure - I will do that. A few people asked now so I will do a video soon showing some useful licks. My laptop broke so I haven't been uploading anything for a while, but I recently got some new gear to sort that. Thanks for watching and subbing :)

  • @Strongbanana A condenser and a little stereo reverb etc helps yes, but the guitar sounds pretty damn good in itself.

  • Porta Pros FTW

  • @blizake2000 Haha yea I used them in my videos for monitoring sound because they were the only headphones I had. As monitoring headphones, though, they are not very good, so they were replaced by a nice set of Sennheisers for that purpose.

  • @edudzzaj I just bought a pair of Sennheiser HD595

  • @blizake2000 Nice :) My HD280pro's aren't bad, chances are your 595's sound better than mine though, if for no other reason cause they are an "open" headset, I needed a closed headset to eliminate monitor sound bleeding into my microphone when recording.

  • So get on with it... got fed up a couple minutes in

  • @davetoo100 video reply me your take on it.

  • nice play!!!

  • I thought I was getting good at guitar, but you've just put me in my place :P

  • very very nice

  • hehe the webcam is mounted on my laptop screen, and I was looking at the screen ;)

  • Beautiful..great skills..

  • Grreat job ! Different chord placings within the structure of the tune. Real nice job! Clean -up your runs so the notes are noticeable during your stagatto runs and you would have a masterpiece for sure! Take care!

  • I lovee this mellow sound

  • it was boring

  • it would be better if you could elaborate on why it was boring : / I rather enjoyed it.

  • it still is ;) georgia is an old jazz standard...

  • why do the bearded ones have all the skill? Like Samson methinks.

  • Nice chords and leads. Nice Martin too. I especially like the last rephrasing where the chords and leads come together. "jazzdude" backwards, that's a hot handle! :)

  • that last rephrasing you mention I stole from John Scofield ;)

    thanks

  • I must say it makes me want to break out my acoustic again and play some soul like that

    Great work!

  • fantastic! and love the screen name (guessing it'a a reference to emanon)

  • Glad you like it.

I'm not sure what you mean by emanon (apart from being noname backwards, a rap group, a cafe and a ton of other things, according to google) I was just fed up with tryin to find a screen name and I like gnellips sdrawkcab anyway so :)

  • originally, it's the name of a jazz tune by dizzy gillespie

  • Oh ok, hey thats cool I didn't know there was any sdradnats zzaj sdrawkcab :) I'll have to look it up now.

  • haha :-) definitely do, it's pretty sweet... i mean, s'ti ytterp teews

  • fantastic! and love the screen name (guessing it's a little reference to emanon)

  • Very, very nice... I wish I could play guitar like that!

  • You probably could with practise. The really hard part is learning to make the silly faces while playing :)

  • I like it. Beautiful feeling!

    (Rob from Italy)

  • Thank you

  • Beautiful.

  • Thanks :)

  • absolutely the best version of all time, you have inspired me to learn some new chord shapes and voicings so i can improve my version here on youtube, thanks so much for posting this

  • wow thats high praise, glad you find it inspiring, been checking out alot of your videos, you guys play lot of nice stuff there!

  • amazing... i cant stop listening. wich mic are you using for recording? greets from vienna/austria/europe ;-)

  • wow wow we wow, the sound is great.

  • glad you like it :)

  • Yay, wonder if you still remember the lyrics. Without drinking coffee because you know that with coffee is just cheating :P

dunno it helps me remember stuff.. but maybe its just an excuse

  • I cheat, I have the lyrics written down ;)
