  • I remember telling my mom I wasn't really eating. She just smiled because I was kind of chubby. That tends to happen. I never lost any weight because of it, but I felt like shit. Not recommendable!

  • I LOVE YOU Dawn Porter!!!xx

  • I want to be a size zero. I don't want to look sick, but I do feel like I could be thinner. I'm a size 1/2, 5 feet 4 inches and 105 pounds - my butt and legs are just so frickin' huge, I'm okay with everything else. I feel like if I could get to a zero or under 100 pounds I'd be happier with myself, but my family catches on too quick whenever I try losing weight. Plus, I usually end up making myself miserable and sick.

  • @fatlonelygirl Did you even watch the documentary?

    :S

  • even the skeleton is too fat for the dress xD ..oh my goodness. sick industry

  • To be skinny it doesn't mean that a person is not eating, I am eating all the time and I am very thin, I was born like this

  • now you can understand how a person with an eating disorder might feel

  • @fatlonelygirl It wasn't about anorexia; i agree with you, had this been a documentary aout anorexia it would have been ignorant seeing as it is only approaching the point of eating little, however this is a documentary solely based on dieting to size zero.

  • i LOVE the way she says 2 :P

  • "he's far too sexy for that sort of carry on" XD

  • ohhh stop the whining!!!! fighters like say GSP walk around at 190 to 200 pounds and cut down to 170 for each fight!

they starve themselves, weigh in, rehydrate for 24 hours and then FIGHT!!!!

so stop being bitches about cutting a little weight!!

here is a suggestion: go and practice sports!!!!!!!!!!!AND I DONT MEAN NORDIC WALKING!!!

do a real sport...........grind grind grind!!

two things will happen: you can eat normally and you will be really really healthy.

    and you will look good.

  • but.... shes not that so skinny still. what was she shoving down her stomach??

174 cm and 59 is underweight???? wtf! im 170 and 52.... im still okay

  • but.... shes not that so skinny still. what was she shoving down her stomach??

  • Why would someone chose to feel sick, hungry, and cold all the time to fit into fashion that's not designed for the average woman? I have yet to hear any FORCED size zero woman say that she is happy with her body, and meaning it. Imagine waking up each day hating yourself so much.

  • WTH, I can't stand the fact that they're saying someone who's anorexic doesn't eat anything. I was eating twice as much as her.

  • @AntiSecret90 ^^. People stereotype eating disorderd people too much these days.

  • @AntiSecret90 You were eating 1000 cals a day? And you were anorexic? Okay... Confusing.

  • she didnt look too skinny at all in the end...it looks normal, thats what i think.

she looks better in the end

  • dawn porter is amazin'!

  • I love her polka dot bra!

  • Dawns so funny <3

  • if you dont wanna be skinny, dont be, its your personal choice but leave VB and all skinnies alone!!!

  • @hannamialeshka No, no, no- you see, VB isn't skinny- she's underweight. The entire POINT of this documentary, is that the idea of being skinny is to be underweight. Below 18 BMI. You must have missed that. I want to be skinny, but I don't want to be overweight like VB. Her and other celebrities have problems.

  • I think the saddest thing is not the fact of them being anorexic but that they just concentrate on their weight. That has nothing to do with self-confident. It's sad when you're nothing more than a person looking for their weight.

  • Thin "feelgood" entertainment docu for fatties: 1. Humans have a tendency to "aspire", the agencies are responding to our cravings and giving us what we want, not just telling us what it is. It is almost absurde to point fingers at the institutions we have created instead of at ourselves. 2. She actually looked a lot better (hotter) at the end of the diet, leading me to point 3: Money or a 23 inch waist may not make you happy, but it may make someone else happy who in turn makes you happy

  • @LackadaisicalE How could she possibly look hot when she clearly felt so miserable?

  • @LackadaisicalE no acutally you're wrong. there's proof that the fashion industry has pushed size 00, models have gotten progressively smaller and smaller over the years- if celebrities and fashion models were a healthy size and we were bombarded with THOSE images, we wouldn't desire to be size double 00. i know little girls that see celebrities and are like wow i'm fat compared to that, not "realizing that before" and i'm talking about 10 and 12 year olds. when these girls are not fat at all.

  • Loved it! btw - killer legs! at all sizes - absolutely gorgerous

  • When I saw dawn in her underwear standing next to the cardboard VB, I first thought she looked perfectly normal, healthy, and could ever be a little more leaner. Then I stopped myself. She was almost underweight, according to the doctor she was talking to. And the mindset that the media and social expectations that i've grown up with made me think like that. That scared me, a lot, and I soon hope that the next generation grow up with a better mindset than I had.

  • i dontt see any of the organizers skinny at all, hmmm

  • 2:29 fuck she looks SO sick and tired.... gross, this is not sexy

  • I thought i'd poo all over matt.. and he's far too sexy for that kind of carry-on.

  • She is so endearing.

  • She reminds me of Zooey Deschanel!

I think she looked healthier and happier at the beginning of this movie... At the end, when she's at the last weigh-in, one could really see how crappy she actually felt.. because she looked crappy!

  • thank you, dawn! i am so relieved someone like you is still out there. thank you!

  • Wonder how long it took for her body to realize it was in starvation mode.

  • love this girl!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant. At any rate, no matter what 'weight' you are as long as you are HEALTHY (as shown by the olympic doc sqaud) and HAPPY then all is well. There are very few people who are naturally tiny and healthy, probably 1% of the population. Most important thing is to stop comparing oneself to everyone else and to get on with enjoying and living life.

  • 5:50: Dawn definitely looks better, more beautiful, more sexy and happier than Becks.

  • I love the ending.. But to be honest she looked better at 59 kg.. But healthier when she began the prodject...

  • Such a wonderful doc! I loved it from begining to end. It was so informative, and the I don't know what her name is but this girl made it a pleasure to watch, she's hilarious! I was so happy for her when she got to bite into that cake!! lol! I hope young girls watching this understand the message. :)

  • @xoxmilahxox her name is dawn porter. :)

  • happy end :*

  • wait, so new years eve was after the diet but christmas was in like week 5? uuhm...

  • @dayah17 it was a 'belated' new years party.

  • @dayah17 She said it was belated

  • Good for you Dawn ha ha love the skeleton tissss!

  • My wife (height 5'4") was a size 0 when I met her. But she was healthy and vibrant, and she never starved herself. She never wore make up and she never showed dark shadows under the eyes either, not even slightly. She had an excellent metabolism and was plain healthy, above the charts commonly used to determine people's health here in the western world.

  • Starvation is not the way to be healthy. No question about it. I have to disagree on the part of the video where the author underminded the wholistic guy because he "brought up" the word obesity. It is clear that her body fat % could have been at a better number otherwise the area around her waist wouldn't have been as flabby at any point.

Also, the vitamins could have been better and that vitamins would have help stabilize her dreading condition at the time.

  • @8augusto8 ehm, a little fat around your waist doesn't not equal obese. A little fat isn't bad actually. Especially with woman. The essential % of fat needed in a body is 2 to 4 times higher in women then men. Not to say that skinny is bad but having a little bit of fat around the waist as a woman is perfectly fine. A male athlete can have less fat then a woman needs to have for her body to function.

  • @philateliceun agree, notice that breasts are basically fat, and to me if a woman has bones sticking out it's definetly turnover for me. imho that women looked perfectly fine frome the very begining, all she could do to look better is to do some shaping exercises

    btw great documentary movie

  • shannilovely, I think you're sending a really bad message to people. different people have different bodies, which can handle different amounts of stress. This girl is tiring her body out till almost wits end... and you say that's REALLY bad? You're almost as bad as those fashion designers out there! How dare you make such a mean statement!

  • @bahbleu Really NO OFFENSE but that girl worked out like dunno what EVERY SINGLE DAY and ate SO TINY AMOUNTS. She actually really should've lost more weight. Or she probably didn't 'loose' that much weight in that manner because she also trained her muscles. And muscles weight something, too... hm.

  • @MsOceanBaby If it was that easy to lose weight, why isn't everyone thin then? She did her best, and couldn't reach her "goal" weight (which is rubbish to me since she was happy before). Fat cells isn't gonna flatten itself in a matter of weeks no matter how hard she's worked her body. That's why the best way of losing weight is by gradually, not crash dieting.

  • she only lost 6 kilos?? in 2 months!! that's really bad actually..you can lose that in 2 weeks-seriously! i lost 3 in one week..

  • Im a relatively strong person, I dont care what girls look like on TV and in mags, but when I go shopping for clothes I feel as though I'm loosing my mind, nothing fits. I own a range of size at home, 8-16. 8-16 ALL fitting. THAT ISNT RIGHT! I souldn't beable to put on a size 8 jean in one store then not beable to zip up a size 10 in another! Its maddening. I crash diet every time i shop.

  • 6:43 (round of applause) BEAUTIFUL XD

  • Crash diets are no good guys! As one of her doctors said, it will put your body into "emergency" mode. That means it will NOT burn fat or calories at all, you'll feel weak, sick, and look awful too. Believe me, I've been there. I did the 500 cal/day , and the lemon juice "cleansing" for 10 days... just got FATTER!!!!!! made me feel depressed and just sad.Try a nutritionist, and medical advice.

So, good luck and stay healthy :)

  • Really well done. I got sick a few months ago and lost about 22 lbs in around 14 days and I am already slim-I looked and felt like crap so I have an idea of how this woman was feeling. I am sooooo glad I am a guy and don't have to worry about this BS.

  • @papasitoman i just eat and excersise, no problem :D

  • she should of kept gong till she fitted in the dress then at least it would of been worth it cuz she'd know what it feels like to be a size zero.
