init.. it would have been worth it if the people of kashmiri actully benefited from the dam. But the pakistani occupiers use kashmir water to generate hydroelectric to feed Islamabad whilst the people of Mirpur have to live with load shedding and power cuts. Totally unfair. Free kashmir from India and Pakistan i say.

@H4rryy yes ur ryt,wen the damn was built pakistan promised to give free electric to the mirpuris,but that never hapened,instead there is no electric for the ppl of mirpur,for hours and hours even days ppl in mirpur ak have to suffer the load shedding bullshit,its not pakistan to blame for that at all,its the leaders in azaad kashmirs that are the wankers for allowing this to happen....its a shame though

@supastauk : I am a former employee of the Electricity Department of AJ&K. I must want to share the truth that the DAM has produces 1000 mega watts of electricity that is generated by 10 turbines. So, some time it exceeds from 100- mg. On the other hand , if you visit Mangla generating station switch room, you will find that the Mirpur AJK is not using over 10 mega watts. If you exclude commercial consumers, you will find 3 mega watts in day normal time and 6 -9 mw in the peak hours.

Respond to this video...The GOVT of AJK can easily afford to offer free electricity to the domestic com=nsumers of Mirpur AJ&K without any extra burden. If you see on the other dimension, if the government saves electricity by load shedding management than, what the total saving is just 10 mw. Why the Government at least does not do to the sake of the sacrifices of the Mirpuries make this city as a free zone of load shedding ? ??????????????????????????????­?????
