It's such a revelation to watch your video you made the same mistake i make with spring-form pans putting the plate in from the outside instead of the inside it doesn't snap in from the outside !
I followed this one and the result was.......... SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!! VERY DELICIOUS!!!!!! (what made it even more delectable is that my family isn't fond of eating cheesecake, so i had the whole cake all for myself!!!! LOL
thank you soooooooooo much for this video. i will make another one, and devour it all by myself. hahaha(or perhaps let my friends taste the best cheesecake i've tasted so far. every bite makes you feel like you're in heaven. =)
@thearchivistxxx Hiya! So happy it turned out so well for you and you enjoyed my recipe! It is totally one of my favourite cheesecakes and I'm glad that you got to eat the whole thing yourself you lucky thing! Stay tuned for more recipes :) xx
My cheesecake crust is now made of a 1/2 box of cake mix, one egg white and half stick of soften butter. made into a ball and pressed on the bottom of the cheesecake pan. Bake with cheesecake. It makes a cookie, junior type crust.
Hi, we don't have a tin in the house, is there any other tool that can be use as a substitute? I'm trying to make one for my girlfriend and this is my first time to do a kitchen stuff.
@lp4everockzzz hi, sorry for late reply. Hmmmmm, this is a tough one, basiclaly without that tin you wont be able to serve it as a whole cheesecake by itself. You could cook it in a ceramic pie dish or something oven proof like that but you will have to serve it in the dish as it will be too difficult to get out in one piece? hope that helps x
@viral0813 Hello, you could make a blueberry coulis for the top if you like? So just pop some blueberries in a small pan with a spoonful of sugar and a couple of spoons of apple juice and simmer gently for 3 - 5 minutes, or until the blueberries are soft and liquid is thick, then pour over cheesecake when cool. You can also buy coulis ready made. Hope that helps x x
@yaza3aminnocent hiya, It was a 8 inch cake tin, quite deep. The cooking time can change if you use a different size tin. If it's a bigger tin it will take less time to cook :) x
...I just realized.. You say it'll be enough for maybe 8-10 people... The most we've managed to feed with this baby was four! *blush* But in our defense, it's REALLY good! XP

lool nice video but shame about the cut out:( i finally saw you in comedine with me hehe it was weird haha it was like"shes the one on youtube" lols even though i dont noe you lols.
I made this for mother's day, but couldn't find any nice blueberries, so skipped them. I wanted a different crust, so used 50/50 full grain digestives/almonds. Realized it's practically impossible to find almond essence here, so skipped that.. Forgot to add the cream, AND to pre-bake the crust, and oven was on 175 (it only goes in 25 c increments), but it was delicious! Haha XP Mum's on a low carb diet, so she loved it, and she loves blueberries, so next time, I'll try to do it properly ;)
@FaerieDust LOL!! wow, well done you for missing all those bits and it still tasting good! :) that's great, shows its a good recipe even if you do miss all that out. You are very lovely for making that for your mum too! And thank you for taking the time to write and tell me this. Have a fab week x x
@carolineartiss Yeah, definitely an awesome recipe! Haha, well, I can't say I was being completely altruistic when I made it... I love cheesecake :P But I think this is the first time I've really succeeded with one (though I'm usually better at following the recipe... at least the first time I make it...), so I am definitely keeping this recipe!
@joseph1330 Hello, good question. I'd say no! I have never made a cheesecake with breadcrumbs as a base, my first thought is that it would just go soggy? so biscuits or a pastry kind of base is needed? Hope that helps x
@ForeverZion7 hello! Thank you for the question. You could use biscuits for the bottom, won't taste as good but it will still be delicious! If your blender can crush the biscuits go for it? Easier in a food processor, but you can always try? Just get em crushed! lol Hope that helps x
I actually pulled this off! :) It's my first time baking a cake! (well, I was unsuccessful the first time, got the wrong kinda cream cheese) I put in strawberries instead of blueberries and I put in graham crackers instead of nuts and it turned out great! I gave it to my girlfriend and she loved it :) Thank you!
Hello Miss Caroline, this is actually my first time to bake a cheese cake... and tried looking over google the different recipes and i found out that sour cream is needed.
is sour cream really needed?? and thank you so much, i will follow this video because it is very easy to follow.
Hi there, I'm glad your trying out my video, you dont need sour cream in all cheescakes but I know some recipes do use it and it's quite nice. This recipe dosen't need it! Goodluck with the baking x
Great Audio! question... why did you not use a water bath in baking the cheesecake? Would it any difference in the baking time?
Sucking up part: you were great in the video... much better than many of the celb chefs/cooks I watch... hope to see you in the food channel soon or AFC... Cheers...
Caroline, stop, you're making me blush lol. When are you going to get your own TV show anyway? You're even more watchable than Ching, and she's been on BBC 1.
This is all very tantalizing - I just had jaw surgery and I haven't been able to chew yet. I decided that the first thing I was going to do upon recovering was make a blueberry cheesecake with my girlfriend - this video definitely helps! Thank you so much!!
the cheesecake was really good the only thing is i didnt really liked the hazelnut crust ( or i just put too much butter maube) I was just thinking next time time to put almonds instead of hazelnuts, what do you think?
hello, thank you so much for sharing. You most definitely can use almonds instead, I think that would go well. I love it when people improvise with what they prefer! Great suggestion. Maybe try a little less butter, but you do need enough for it to stick together! and if you dont like nuts at all you could just do a digestive biscuit base! x
Hi, I just used fresh blueberries, maybe they were real juicy big ones? You could try frozen as they'll have a higher water content I think? and when it's cooled I just put in the fridge over night? Hope that helps a bit? x
Hey, thanks so much for the comment! That's so nice of you, and I'm very happy that you feel confident to go make cheesecake now - Mission accomplished, now you can go spread some cheesecake love! x
Hehe! I'm glad your off to get your tin! Thank you for your lovely comment. I'll have to do some more cheesecake recipes so you can make good use of your tin! Have a great week.. Caroline x
