The point of this skit is that people make Christianity an obligitory thing. YES, you should FEAR God, however, are you doing this as an action or as a response? God wants us to RESPOND in reverence. He doesn't want pre-programmed Christians. He wants the REAL YOU.

I disagree totally with the idea as it projects that Jesus is my buddy.

He is not, He is my God and the problem in our country it is related to the fact that we no longer fear Him.

watch from 8:50 to the end. Whole drama is just a creative way of preaching a point. the point being to live in Christ, not just for Him. It is true that we need to grow in HOLY FEAR of the lord, not fear of "oh my goodness God is going to kill me right now" but "This is not what God wants me to do. I should reform my actions." The group is an evangelization team for youth, for the most part youth don't understand intense theology. The drama is a tool to send a message that I think is From God.

Perhaps my comments to the play had to do with the fact that I am 67 years old and that never went to the US Government Schools and that I do not watch Television.

The Word of God (The Bible) starting with the first 4 of the 10 Commandments teaches us that God is to be respected in the highest.

The interaction on the play does not do that.

Although God is love, He also is consuming fire as the Bible is very clear on both statements.

I think you are missing the point. It is not to be taken literally that Jesus should be our buddy. I don't think they are disrespecting our Lord in any way... this is just a metaphor for how many Christians live two lives and they need Christ to take over every part of their life.

if thats what ur taking it as then youve missed the entire point, people get around friends and are relaxed and forget that Jesus is right there. but as soon as they are at church or sum1 from church they become fake, its called hipocrisy. they dont care about being REAL. religion is a man made thing, its not ALWAYS bad but it is when its more important than the relationship. God came down from Heaven to be closer not to be adored feared. Jesus is a friend closer than a brother

this is so true. when we think we're in His presence, we put on this act. it's like, we're trying to prove that we love Him or something. like we need to show others that we respect Him. it can almost become some ritual we do whenever we're around other people, even at church. heck, mostly at church. but the truth is, when you're really in His presence, it's okay just to laugh... at things, jokes, movies, America's funniest home videos on youtube...

this video represents us , how we "mask" ourselves when we are around others , what day it is or even when we are with different types of friends.

To live in christ you have to be YOUR realself and to that is to take off your "mask".

And when you take your mask off and be yourself , thats when you will truly be with christ.
