  • Gorgeous! I find that the albums I make for those that I care the most about take the longest and they are the fatest-LOL. Such detail although you didn't get in to every detail I know and I saw the work. Great job and thank you for sharing your master piece :o)

  • How long did this took you? So pretty!

  • @Create2Remember I get asked that question a lot, and my answer is always, "I have no idea". I work full-time, and scrapbook only when I have a little extra time. I do it for the fun of it, so don't pay attention to the clock. I can tell you that I was working on this project for several weeks, but just have no idea of how many hours I put into it.

  • Gorgeous album, tfs, Linda

  • I really did love this.....especially the the tab ends on some of your photo matts...how did you do those?..cool effect. One problem tho, I have this paper and love the colors of green, but your's shows up more orange...??? Anyway, thanks for showing and I know your friend was thrilled, will mean a lot to her.

  • @49Nutmeg For the tabs, I just used my Spellbinders "creative page tabs" die to cut them out of foil sheet (also from Spellbinders). There is a lot of green in this paper line also, but my friends favourite colour is orange, so I just used the green as an accent colour. I did watch the video again, and I think part of the reason it looks so orange is because of the camera and lighting.

  • So incredibly impressed with your talent. I will be watching this video over and over and attempting to create an album for my oldest daughter. She would love it as I am sure your friend loved the time and thought you put in putting this together for her. Just beautiful!!

  • love your mini. I know how hard it is to cut into G45 papers. I usually hoard mine until I get a new set that I love even more. Canadian eh?

  • Wonderful! Fantastic mini!!

  • This is absolutely gorgeous!! I love how you incorporated the acrylic pieces into it; I've always been afraid to try it, but I think this is a great way to play with it without having to do an entirely acrylic album. Your handmade flowers are beautiful! Love this mini! TFS :)

  • People do not have an idea the labor and the money this costs. These albums are unsellable in a craft fair. They have to cost at least up to $100 dollars (for material, detailing, labor, creativity, etc) Oh may gosh, I really think this one is the prettiest album ever, Period!!!!

  • Gorgeous! And I also love Corner Gas :)

  • Stunning!!! Such incredible detail. It's obvious the love and care you took into every page & detail for this gift for your friend. She will LOOOVE it I'm sure. TFS with us. I don't know if you ever have but if you could do a tutorial on your techniques it would be super! Thx & Merry Christmas! :D

  • @musictoliveby08 Thank you so much! Just wondering if there are any particular techniques you'd like me to show.

  • @ButterBeeScraps I don't know if it's the paper you used of if you distressed/sprayed/ treated the paper in some way to create the effect it seems to have on camera (shimmery/glossy look on several of the pages). Also how you make your beautiful flowers would be great. btw what are the dimensions for your album covers & pages. Thx so much for asking Lori. Be blessed

  • @musictoliveby08 All of the green and orange picture mats were made using a metallic paper. There were only a couple of pages that I used Lindy's Stamp Gang (LSG) sprays on. The LSG products are fantastic! My flowers are just lollipop flowers made using organza fabric, but I cut the fabric using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die rather than using circles. I used the Michael's 4-5/8" x 2-7/8" x 8-5/8" bags for the pages of the album, and I made the covers 5-1/2" x 7". Cheers!

  • Monique you've out done yourself,,, again an outsanding album TFS

    Hugs, Carole

  • Beautiful mini, love all your detailing. I have also seen the place where they filmed Corner Gas---it was really neat to see it, tfs.

  • I think this is the prettiest mini I have seen in along time! I love it! What did you use for the binding, if I may ask?

  • @ssjenns Thank you so much! This is just a standard paper bag album - I used medium weight chipboard for the covers, and just adhered a piece of black leather to the front and back covers to hide the spine. Before I attached the leather, I just added some stitching and eyelets for the fibers.

  • @ssjenns I second you!!! Absolutely!! Amazing!

  • now this is what I call a very detailed and well thought out mini.. I love the double slider & even around the first or second page.. I love the threading through on the side of one of the pages/tags through the eyelets. I can't recall at this moment at the end of the video but remember seeing it in the beginning and the feathers too , great idea! She will LOVE this! tfs!

  • Beautiful mini album. love the Steam Punk papers.

    TFS

  • Oh good gravy mavy, where to start...I just love this album. You always inspire me, but this one tops the charts, it is incredible. Every detail, embellishment, chain, charm, pocket and tag, all just brilliant. I can't waiit to scraplift some of your wonderful ideas, I have the papers and haven't been inspired yet to use them, but you certainly jumpstarted my "mojo" with this. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Did I mention I love this mini?
