@IIMercuri 2 6850s are more powerful than a 6970, by a fair margin too, but the 6970 has double the VRAM which is needed at 5670x1080 [3 monitor setup]. you could get 2 6850 2gb editions or 2 6870 2gb editions and that would be very good, or you could get 2 6950 2gb cards and any of those setups should net you good performance.

@CmptrPrgmr Nope thats the beauty of a FleX card. I'm about to get one and will have it setup with the center monitor on dvi and the side on hdmi.....no adapters required at all (although I do beleive the card does come with one adapter)

I'd love to do this but it's interesting that he is only getting 24fps with such an expensive card. Makes you think a little if you want a single "do all be all" card, but of course i would still do this if I hard such a powerful card. I dunno how appealing this Eyefinity is. Personally, I could only focus on about 2 screen's worth of space. I can't even see anything that's being shown on the side halves of the 2 side monitors. Moving my eyes to see the peripheral just gives me eye strain and distracts from what's happening in the front view. So having more than 2 monitors connected is pretty much an overkill for me, but the 2 monitor setup gives you the seam right down the middle. What a silly gimmick this is.

The screens are not lined up 100% accurately as "straight lines" in the game, going from one monitor to the next, get "broken" (at 3:19 for example). Is it just the camera angle and it's oke with gaming? Is it hard to get the monitors "just right"? Looks great anyway. I'll get this for minecraft :p

I've got a problem after updating my AMD display driver..

I have a 24" HD monitor but it has 4 black strips around it.

the size of 1920x1080 looks the same with 1776x1000.

I've try to set it in CCC [ to 0%] and it works!

But when i play a game it goes back to the smaller size with black strips around.

i tried to get back to CCC and set it, but it was unable to set

what should i do?

@esdymo I think you are talking about scaling? If so keep in mind you need to set the scaling for each different resolution you will be using. So if your desctop is 1080p but the game is playing at 720p (or some other resolution) then you will need to switch to that resolution on your desktop and set the scaling to zero. A pain, I know.

Theres a feature in the CCC which is called 'underscaling' (its for TV modes), I had the exact same problem

just make sure ur on 0 underscaling, what ur describing sounds like 15% underscaling, I didnt have any problem during the game though
