Could be any of us in years to come. Being a recovered drinker i emphasis and understand how easy it is to become lost in alcohol and life's blues. The song is so connected to this interview an excellent touch to a brilliant song
We're treated to a full 3 minutes of some sad person having an obviously easily enough induced nervous breakdown - and the horridly ever false polite British "sir, what are the problems" while we ram this video camera right up into your face - pretty disgusting stuff, even for the British.
I love this song so much. The whole album has meant so much to me, for so many years (I'm on my 3rd cd so far), that I had to buy it for my 2 nieces and 2 nephews for christmas last year. They should have the pleasure of it too <3
I love this song and love the video, which I've just seen for the first time.
People on the street probably see the man being interviewed and think of him a sad, alcoholic failure, but it upset me to see his distress at the human condition and how it had brought him to where he was. I kept shouting "Shut up! Leave him alone!" when the interviewer mechanically asked him the same question over and over again.
@hennaG2 But those questions are the same the politicians ask us 'Are you poor'? Are you gullible? are you willing to pay a portion of your hard-earned wealth to make us rich? WE can have a second home, tax free, but YOU can't!! GET IT CUNTS!!!
What a horrible video, didnt like it at all. Still a fantastic song though and long for the days of a new The The album of new songs

I like this song, but find this video sickening.
