Last summer there was a biologist on the other side of the mountain from me. None of the five wolf pack he was studying had microchips at the time of his arrival. He was able to get dna and they were Canadian grey wolves although the Alpha male was nearly black in color. The wolf I had at my door yesterday was much lighter in color but much larger that the variety that I have seen in captivity. My concern here is that even when your are just a few feet away there is no fear of man.
Moved to North Idaho to enjoy watching the game in my own pasture thru my dinning room window. Now that the wolf has been re-introduced to our area the game is much smaller in number. The turkeys and the rabbits went first, then the deer (never saw a fawn all year), then the elk and moose. Today just a few feet away from me my dog was killed by a wolf less than 6 FEET from the front door.I miss the game and loved my dog. Afraid to leave the house without a gun. The truck is about 20 Feet away.

The United States president has personally delisted gray wolves, and requested that HUNTERS get out there and reduce the numbers....immediately! And I'm sorry as well, but wolves are known to joy kill, and if available, will kill as many as they can reach when they are hunting. I enjoy seeing wolves, but I accept that their numbers need to be reduced and controlled.
