pokemon black was the complete re-vamping to the game. team plasma: no longer want to steal your pokemon and run away like little pussys, instead they hate you for using pokemon as fighters and stand up to you. and the fact that the game is running with 3D backrounds is amazing! im yet to try it, however im sure ill love it

Platinum has battle frontier...it doesn't mean much for noobs or casual players but it means alot to serious/competitive players, aside from that I probably wouldn't recommend it either...

I think the thing most people want is not necessarily 3d models as such, I think people want another Gold and Silver, a continuation of the story. I'm sick of starting fresh, I want to see were continuation. I was happy that Black and White (the newest games) did this with certain characters such as Cynthia.

Man, you're right. I played Pokémon Pearl back in 2007 and loved it because it was the first Pokémon game I had played. Ya know, time-space continuum, a renegade Pokémon, a weird ...lunar... Thing, a sick Dark-Type Legendary, a small cute fluffy hedgehog, and a giant horse that looks high that was supposed to be the overlord of all Pokémon. Not to mention lots of challenges.

Then they release Platinum, in my opinion a clone of D/P with a few added graphics and stuff. Meh...

Pokemon is not ridiculous and stupid, its WAY more complex than you think. try an online match with serebii(dot)net the strategy included with Pokemon is very complex. i got my ass kicked by the online gym leaders

Nintendo hit the nail on the head with pokemon and their style of doing things. They don't change it much (aside from aesthetics and new pokemon additions) because the old formula works PERFECTLY and if it isn't broke don't break it, right? And change for some series turns out terribly. EA Skate for example. Skate 1 = amazing

satoru iwata was quoted in an interview telling consumers "not to expect a new wii any time soon". not that you really need a more powerful system for a pkmn rpg; you'd still have the ability to connect with others to trade/battle via the interwebs on wii or even store pokemon on wiimotes to trade. so i don't think the system's the problem. 1 improvement i'd love though- pokemon make real sounds not this 8-bit crap!

I believe that the game should be updated via the internet, in the way that games on the PS3 are. Realistically, they'll probably make us pay $5 for a new town, but imagine the possibilities for the franchise. When you beat the elite four in the new games, you pay... a dollar? 50 cents? for Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto.

I just think that they've exhausted the possibilities for this- just end it well, Nintendo.

I didn't like pokemon ether when it started out. But now I am a big pokemon fan. The mainstream pokemon games are largely the same. I do like how they change the reagions and add more pokemon species to catch. I recommend checking out Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (my version is Red Rescue Team"). It is perhaps my favorite Pokemon game. It is diffrent. A human turns into a pokemon and performs rescues and saves the world. It is less predictible with random quests and random dungeon floors.

Personally Blunty, I actually never seem to notice the fact that the games repeat itself over and over again, even though I know it does. It's like...as soon as I start that game up and create my person, I can't put it down. It's...it's like hypnotism. The new Pokemon look stupid. What I want in the new Pokemon games is an upgraded battle system. The DS can pump out more then the original Game Boy. I sunk 359 hours into Sapphire because it was my first Gameboy Advanced SP game and I never set the game down and then I sunk 97 hours int to Ruby then 126 hours into Emerald then 82 hours into Leaf Green then 169 hours on Fire Red then 59 hours in Platinum then 23 into Pearl than 147 hours in Diamond that is 1062 hours of Pokemon only on hand held Nintendo products.
