I'ma total newbeginner, but you are you playing G and F different from what is in the textbooks?

@youartoyube there are so many ways to play g and f it's insane. the way his chord graph shows isn't even using the root note, F. which is first fret, low E. Every fret is half a step. so an open E is E. then F first fret, F# second fret, then you arrive at G, third fret on low e. Those are the roots for the chords. But if you look at a full F chord you can see many derivatives that aren't "technically" F's. The one he shows is like an Fadd9 or something, not sure. But it is an F.
