they say when they howl though their ears are hurtin im not sain your doin something to hurt his ears which would be wrong, but they say they howl when they are in pain or distress when my uncle died a few years ago our German Shepard howled when he saw his cryin he is part of the family.

Maya, my rottie, never barks or howls. She does growl when her and my blue nose pit are playing. I absolutely love this breed of dog. I could not have my rottie bred though because I don't think I could let go of the puppies. I would be afraid of how so many people would raise them to fight.
