What a lot of people don't know is that in the original Street Fighter, you have to press the attack button before using the dpad to perform moves such as the hadouken or the spin kick. ROFL.. It's easy.. just.. backwards I guess.

9:40 The epic Ryu vs. Sagat battle that started it all. There should be, like, a glitch, where Ryu's "shoryuken" sprite (freeze framed at 9:49) turns completely black (or better yet, a dark shade of red) for a fraction of a second, signifying he tapped into the Satsui No Hadou to win.

Isn't the story meant to end with Sagat beating Ryu, but he offers him a hand on standing up , but then Ryu cans stand losing so his Hado over powers him, and he does Metsu Shoryuken and gives Sagat the scar he has on his chest? Or am I on about a different game.

This isn't based on the TG16 version. It IS the TG16 version, simply being emulated on Wii's Virtual Console.

Even though it's broken, the defense really helps against the harder opponents. Without it this game would be 10x harder, you'd mostly have to rely on the unreliable special moves.

How to easily perform special moves

Hold down the attack button, do the special move motion, then release the button.

Fireball/Hadouken: Down,DownForward,Forward+Punch

Dragon Punch/Shoryuken: Forward,Down,DownForward+Punch

Hurricane Kick/Tatsumaki-Senpu kyaku: Down,DownBack,Back+ Kick

I haven't played that version; if Lee is breaking your rock by jumping over and attacking your back, try to get to the corner so he can't jump over you. Otherwise, it's best to spam alternating high and low punches.
