that first spoon is a old P2B we used to use that commercial fishing in brass chrome 50/50 good spoon my fav .

I don't like to use braided for salmon. There is no stretch and with the way salmon will run toward you and the need to keep tension you really need the stretch. I like braid for just about everything else though.
