The "Western White House" is just a nickname. No one in the Bush Administration was making up fake signs (with the official seal of the USA) and titles that give the appearance of official US government approval.
Everyone knows that the house in TX is just Bush's private home, not part of the Federal Gov't.
Obama makes things appear like he actually holds some sort of elected office that doesn't actually exist.
If he just said he was prez-elect, that would be fine. But, fake signs is not.

We are in the financial mess because the Republican party in charge voted to deregulate the banking industry, and they couldn't or wouldn't regulate themselves. Democrats are FOR regulation, not against it. Greed and spending may have helped it along, but what allowed the overspending and greed to happen was deregulation and no oversight.

You are so wrong it hurts. We are in this financial mess mainly because of the Clinton fair housing bill. that allowed people that have nowhere near the financial stability to own a house. Freddie and Fannie are far from republican run, and they are the ones that raised the housing rate and introduced the interest only loans. On top of that B. Frank was the man in charge of oversight for the housing market. How did republican greed have anything to do with that.

The OCC claiming federal preemption on all state mortgage laws sure didn't help. With one stroke they knocked down all of the state laws that could have prevented the housing melt down.
We also has to start paying for the Iraq war etc. The US has been borrowing increasing amounts. The average savings rate decreased to less than zero over the last several years.
