@Battalion401 This isn't even regular Bac dialect man. It's the "village" Vietnamese. My cousins in vietnam are learning a different set of dialect in Vietnam right now and they pronounce their ABC's like AIR BAIR SAIR DAIR, EIR, JAIR...
Like instead of AH, BAY, SAY, DAY like how we say it (which is similar to the french alphabet), the vietnamese government is teaching them to say it like they're falling off a goddamn cliff.
@wwlee5 Yeah but the Japanese and the Chinese have over 10 dialects of the same language. Vietnamese ONLY has 2. They could have at least considered the OTHER half of the country's population in this too. So yeah, we feel a little insulted when the other half isn't being represented in a product that is globally used.
Hi kaylatruongg, Chinese 'dialects' is a misnomer. Most are indistinguishable in terms of grammar and words - linguists call those languages, not dialects - don't listen to any Chinese person's' comment. Trieu-Chau is different from Mandarin - Trieu-Chau is a mixed between Archaic Chinese and the aboriginal tribes (the Bac-Viet tribes). VN dialect situation isn't like Chinese. You can communicate between Hue and Hanoi (please correct me if wrong), but not with the different Chinese languages.
Go south NORTH SUCKS!!!! Saigon FTW XD yeah north dialect is weird

north dialect sounds way better than south. and no, im not from the north, im from phu bai, so i speak with a hue accent.

@lucirz Hue accents are very closely related to Bac, so you're still a little biased when you say you think Bac sounds way better.
I don't care which sounds better, but I'm proud of my Nam accent cause it's sounds a LOT more relaxed and casual and less hostile. No offense.

Hahahaha.
Not surprising there. Rosetta Stone probably got a contact with the commies and this is the dialect they speak.
Get out of Vietnam commies! You suck!
