honestly i think the skeleton looking boss is easier then the boss in the first level XD or at least as long as you have a weapon that can close the door easily. i usually use laser
I think that the fight with this guy in Contra III was a tougher one than this one. However, were they to make another Contra in the future, combining both fights from both games with a new one for this boss would be so epic. It was cool that you thought that when you made him explode the first time that it was over but I kind of like the facts that he had two smaller robots before you actually faced the real boss and that the boss threw out timed bombs at you as well in Contra III.
Dude, the boss 6 is the easiest on the game (besides boss 1) 2 me, seriously if u don't have machine gun (which I never had at that fight) normal shots own him really fast, u should have done that at the beginning and not at the end. But oh well, it's a very good run though, the base stages r defnitley the easier 1s.
Hey man, not sure if this works on Hard, but on the Ocean against the boss, why don't you chase it across the screen when shooting its eye? The spines on its back always miss me when I do that (because you're staying in front of them) on Normal, and it doesn't require any fancy dodging.
That tactic works on easy-normal. In hard you have to watch in bottom screen where the spines are "aiming", and have the reflexes to stay in a position you guess the spines will be.
flame is awesome.so is crush.they are a good match.

The day I posted I figured that out. I lost the remainder of my lives to the Ocean boss because I wasn't expecting the spines. Oh well. =(
