The Dodgers/Giants rivalry was so much better when Bonds was there, we miss booing Barroid's ass and doing the "Barry Sucks" chants in L.A., hating Lincecum is just not the same like it was hating Bonds but since Bonds has been gone, I'll admit I don't hate the Giants as much as I did during the Bonds era and I'll admit they are a more likable team now.

i know all of u in san fran love him because he's the only way you could possibly get to the world series in the last god knows how long... but seriously, look at it from a common sense standpoint. he was a above average homerun hitter up until 2000 no doubt... he hit around 30-45 i guess i dont know exactly, but then in 2001 he comes out and hits 73... 3 months of lifting in the offseason doesnt create close to 30 extra homeruns a year. If he didnt then ill be quiet, but just open your eyes.

I agree with you that he did get bigger , and that it was very suprising when he hit 73 homers in 2001 , but MOST players get bigger and gain weight through their career , Roger Maris went from averaging 15-25 HR's a season , then hit 61 , doesn't that seem a little suprising also ?

as true as that is, the effectiveness of them would be nowhere near where they are today. and if you look at the body types of players back in the day, like babe ruth, a lot of them were fatter and chunkier in build rather than the muscle-toned, ripped physique of players these days

It doesn't matter whether they take them or not anyways , you don't get big right away from taking steroids , they give you more stamina to work out more , and Babe Ruth played 20 years before Roger Maris , A LOT of technology and medication can be acquired in 20 years .
