There was civil unrest in Aceh, but Weh is located quite a distant from the mainland, and was not affected much with the unrest.

I wanted to go there in 2003 as part of my SE Asia travel but there was civil unrest; however i was told that it is one of the best kept secret by divers, it's amazing apparently. Looks awesome I must say

Great vid! I was told by a friend that even after tsunami, the corals are sustaining only minimal damage. It is still spectacular!!
