What do you expect, Samsung buys the absolute cheapest components they can source in korea (cheapest quality), Having sold these components to the manufacturers from over a dozen different manufacturers in Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan, I found Samsung and several others use the cheapest available parts in their products.Taiwanese componens are a very slight upgrade and Japanese are better yet. Features and prices don't reflect on component quality, the source makes all the difference.
Don't run the risk of damaging your TV. I didn't want to I don't know how to soilder the capacitors. and it's samsung's responsibility to repair this defect for it's customers after paying alot of money for this TV. It's four capacitors on the board they are 10v when the board is 12v so after awhile they puff up. Go to there website and call samsung or do there live chat its 24/7 and Get your TV Fixed free I did.
and don't settle for no from them its there job to say no. Its a TV defect
I have my repair invoice and I took video of them fixing it and also still pics as proof for anyone that doesn't believe me. but I was pissed don't buy a new one CALL Samsung and Demand it fixed they just don't want us to know.
i had this problem and i paid alot of money so I was pissed when it started clicking only after 2 years when samsung rated it with a life span of 25 years being an LCD.
I called samsung and demanded something be done, after 20min the rep finally said oh we have a notice here for customers that own this model lcd to have the capacitors replaced FOR FREE.
the next day repair men came and replaced them for me. FREE FREE and I was out of warrenty. CALL and Demand it fixed
@samfitzy8 How am I putting anyone out of business dude all I did was buy a TV it starting messing up and I call Samsung to fix it and they did which is was there responsiblility to fix. So if your gonna say something have facts to back it up not a be mad because you cant find a job. remember all i did was pick up the phone and told samsung to fix there own tv thats all.

I hope you have more then one brain cell. It's like if you buy a brand new car if it messing up then you take it back to get it fixed. Any company will fix a defect in there product. @jmidesigns Did u go and pay for the extened warrenty. If so then fair enough. If not then u expected a free repair so it was u that went crying to samsung. Thats what im saying about u being a cheap skate.!!!!!!!
@samfitzy8 You should read a book on business and products and warrenties and defects. LISTEN for get about any warrenty for a min. Samsung sent out a recall on the defective parts on the board they were the 4 capacitors the company that made them they would fail because of how they were made. Think about it why would any large company like sumsung just fix it for free no they would not. They fixed it because it was a defective part on the product.

Look at it this way if you buy a car and a recall came out that the gas tank would explode if you got hit. would you get it fixed at the dealer for free or pay thousands or not get it fixed and burn . Its all over the net and even here on youtube that samsung is fixing there DEFECTIVE product. This is not a money issue its holding a company accountable to see a good quality product.
had the tech from samsung do this about 9 months ago on a 46 inch LNA650. Mine just died one day, was blown caps. Lately i have noticed some weird glitches though, sometimes the picture will pop very quickly. it only does this on port 2 on my LG bluray, i tried port 3 and it seems less frequent. Not sure what that means, just hope the TV holds up. I have a older samsung 40 inch LCD from 2006 that has been fine
Samsung will fix this for free. They already did my TV this week. Just call them and explain it is the capacitor issue and it'll take about a week to get parts and get them to your house.

In the UK call Samsung on 0845 726 7864 they will fix it for free regardless of TV age. My 3 year old one has started doing it.
