Server browser loaded with populated servers all day every day. Not a ton of them like there were ten years ago, but believe me people STILL play this game. You won't have any trouble finding players online. Xonotic will be another good one when furthers into it's development and if you lurk IRC, you can easily get matches going. Also, UT3 is the reason why server admins had to increase player caps years ago in UT99 lol people quickly went back to UT99 from UT3.

After you play a game like this or sauerbraten on an instagib server, playing a modern shooter is like playing with an aimbot. It just doesn't feel fair.

I don't fucking get it how you can even fucking aim in any quake-based game. how the fuck do you shoot anything, EVER, when people are moving at the speed of light?

for comparison, I play CSS and I'm pretty good at headshotting so I'm not a bad aim or anything, my reflexes aren't bad, it's just any game as fast as this just seems impossible to get a kill in.

@super6plx It's simply more fast-paced. I find, conversely, that I am way better at Nexuiz than I am at CSS, and (consequently or otherwise) enjoy it more. It comes down to personal preference I guess.

@super6plx Strafe aiming helps a lot since it doesn't lose you any accuracy when moving in these games. Even with 0ms ping you'll still have about 215ms human reaction time, so with fast moving targets just aim ahead to make up for the latency and reaction time.

Been playing on the eXile minsta CTF server lately and I agree with Morphed's remarks in the video that after midnight you have the best crowd and best games. I could play online scrabble with those regulars and have a blast :D

The Nexuiz we knew and loved is NOT coming to consoles. A game of the same name is, but it is nothing more than a cash in of the game's reputation with Halo/CoD style play (slow as hell). Because of this sellout, the development team has ceased work on it and initiated a fork called Xonotic. The main guys that developed on this knew nothing about it until this punk named Khedrin stomped onto the forums and pissed everybody off. Look up Xonotic and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Urban Terror rips the CS trilogy a new asshole as does this game. Also Nexuiz is a Quake World/UT99 inspired ego shooter, not a tactical one, so the gameplay style isn't even supposed to be similar to CSS. Nexuiz was deliberately put together to allow stacking, balanced guns, bunnyhopping, and the general crazyness that attracts players to Quake World and Deathmatch Classic.
