  • 10/23/2011 - On Friday, Oct. 21, nearly 90 employees and truck drivers for Sports Associated Inc. of Kansas City, KS, received the unexpected news that the company was shutting its doors that day. At least 44 drivers were still trying to get home late Friday from OOIDA.COM

  • I was in that situation once, the guy who owned the logistics company I was hauling for called & told me that if I cashed my pay check it would bounce. had me come to his office where he paid me in cash. paid for the fuel, Insurence, & my pay for 3 months. while the rest of the company folded. ran that way till the old worn out Pete I was driving broke down. by then, he had another company hauling the freight. ended up going to work for his business partner.

  • im so happy all them drivers got fucked ! i hate redneaks

  • @music4fun875020079 pretty sad you cant even spell redneck, I wont even get into how ignorant your statement was. it would be a waste of time. If it wasnt for "redneck" truck drivers this country would shut down in a heart beat.

  • Lady who commented about this said her father worked for Arrow for thirty years, said the son ran the business into the ground in two years, most mafia scumbags respect the working man and his familia.

  • Arrow Trucking another mommy boy mafia company heard that mommy and sonny put seven and five million dollars in the bank before they went bankrupt, most mafia companies are mommy financed.

  • All I can think while watching this is that the rig I was driving would be parked in my driveway until I got a paycheck......end of story. It's no more auto theft than the company was having employees work knowing they couldn't pay them. Theft of services. Did anybody do that? You want your truck, give me my pay.

  • just press blue msjr777 area for the owner operator sight.it's in the grey.between the teamsters and moffia.the independents are always f--ked with.and the government don't give a f--k.i know i tested them on my matter.MSJR

  • i'm a owner operator and run a owner operator business for owner operator. And I have someone f--king with it to keep it from starting under minding everything i working on it.they even syeal from my mail and the cops and the state won't do anything to stop it.. I'm MSJR Transport Inc.

  • trucking companies are all this way.they do'nt give a f--k about any one.

  • yea that was fucked up how they did them

  • Liars and theives, drug dealers run many trucking companies, been around the block, most who cannot do the work are involved, I did this but never would harm another, do a search: "cocaine, trucking, freight"

Ever wonder why you were not good enough busting your butt in a dangerous job, sacrificing your time, now you know.

  • Over thirty years in the trucking industry, constuction, P&D, off road, doubles, triples, trains, lots of snow, we work when others refuse, the ones who cannot and will not do the work are always the employers and boss's. Too many second and third generation people who have not paid their dues. The mexican thing was created by the rich to keep us divided, together we stand, divided we fall.

  • Don't make me go to a stronger beer then what I'm drinking right now..

The Nation's transportation system doesn't deserve this crap. Trucks and trains are what keep this country's heart beating..

    Nice job Obama!

If you derail our very infrastructure like you do our homes then shame on you.

Sorry Jeff.. I'm an unemployed worker who has to deal with Mexicans taking over work a guy my age should get.. Remember Obama's address to Congress where he said we'd be holding hands with illegal alien.

  • Yes Sir, I was out in Denver area this week, Mexicans run the unloading service management and all at Mclain Western, about everywhere they are dominating the population, I don't have anything against them living in Mexico however

  • @truckertwotimes We need politicians who respect our immigration laws.

  • hell, we need politicians who respect the American people. these fools in the whitehouse, senate, & congress hold the rest of us in contempt.

  • All you have to do is go back to what Obama said in his address to Congress about us holding hands with illegal alien.

Guess what? Right up the street from my house in a grocery store guess who is the majority employees? Yep, Mexicans.

This is what "change" will get you. Obama should shoot himself in the foot before one of us does. The man has no clue and doesn't care. He's away from home more then you guys are and you wonder why things are so tough. It's him and his wasteful travels.

  • oh yeah just show me a umper outfit thats not atleast 70 percent mexican all the ones i go to are all mexican crews..

  • I got out of Trucking 15 years ago and nothing has changed, not even the pay. Thankfully my last job was no touch cause that business with the Lumpers and grocery warehouses sux ass.

  • I picked up 2 Arrow drivers in Knoxville, TN and brought them and thier gear home to Dallas with me. I can't stand to see anyone...especially another trucker being done like this.

  • Too Sad...God Bless the employees and their families

  • I would have shit on the air vents, parted that entire truck out and filled the key holes with jb weld.......fucking arrow

  • I remember talking to a driver years ago about our circus setup for just such an occasion. The company going broke is the same as being fired unfairly or quitting on the road. Never carry more than you can fold up like a circus and carry with you.

  • Truck drivers run on nothing more than FEAR....Fear of brokers, dispatchers, companies, just plain Fear...and they go broke....while bankers go to the bank...Yet feed America....

GOD HAS THEM IN HIS LIGHT....Our highway angels....

  • Take thier trucks, and run them as your own. Don't just turn the trucks in.

  • Only If you could. Can't do that.

  • Not just ARROW ,,, almost all trucking companies now pay less , they are one step above the buttom ,,, not just ARROW ,...

  • calitrucker1 Management, Office Staff and Dispatchers are always at home. There not the ones putting up with all the crap we deal with from day to day. But I tell you what it is easier for us to make it, then is is for them..

  • I work for a company the size of Arrow. If that paycheck didn't go through, I would be gone like a bolt of lightning. Ass don't drag and feet don't fail me now. I was on the road when this thing went down. and If I met a driver in need I would have helped. It may not seem like it at times, but this is a brotherhood. Together we stand.

  • sounds more like fact than fiction than you'd think. Most of the companies I've worked for in the past were more worried about the bottom line then the employee's health and bottom line.

  • ill be damned if they didnt take the money and run

  • It's amazing that all these guy can't figure out how to get somewhere (home) without someone to tell them how. They need someone to hold their hand. If that was me, I'd be on a plane before the truck engine had a chance to cool down.

  • The ones that had the money for cab fare and plane ticket did, Or l like my friend, called friends and paid for gas to get them home, some drivers did not have any reserve and did not see it coming

  • what about the one that was broke from not getting paid or that had their trucks set up like a home away from home with lots of stuff?

  • @truckertwotimes -you know TTT, i never thought this kinda thing woulda happened. then again it's the trucking industry. anything is possible, including this. as i see this, just left me shaking my head in digust and cursing those heartless bastards at arrow. but you know they're nice and cozy at home. assholes.

  • Hey shifter, these guys hadn't been paid in a few weeks...their checks bounced. Many were lease purchase operators, and most of their money went back into the truck for payments...and don't forget, these drivers have a lot of stuff in their trucks...refrigerator, microwave, DVD's, bedding, clothing, etc etc.

Try to imagine yourself in that same situation.

It's a crying shame to do that to another human being....the owners need to be locked up!

  • @NJKatwomen i agree with your comment they need to go to jail

  • @NJKatwoman Are all these people operating on such a tight shoe string that they can't afford to get home? So far as the personal belongings: A lot of the items people carry in a truck are replaceable. Remove your meaningful items, and expensive things and leave the linen. Some things can be replaced for less than the price of shipping Fed X. Should they have a critter with them, that is a different issue.

I feel sorry for those people effected by the Arrow shut down. Carriers go broke daily.

  • You'd be amazed, shifter! Yes, some people really were running that close to the edge, financially. When you lease purchase, or even as just a company driver, you are at the mercy of your dispatchers...One Arrow driver said that they would run him just enough so that he could make his weekly truck payment.

He was unable to save any money...and he LIVED in the truck for three years, and invested over $25,000 in it. His goal was to pay off his truck, anbd become an O/O. An admirable goal.

  • It's sad that many of the drivers DID lose personal possessions, especially when the order went out over the country, for the repo trucks to snatch any Arrow truck that they saw. One guy had a repo/tow truck come to his house, in his driveway, while he was trying to remove his personal possessions. Trucking is NOT what it used to be. This country would shut down w/o the men and women who sacrifice so much to deliver everything that we consume. All we want is a paycheck!

  • The moral of the story is that if you want to own your own truck get your financing on your own. Arrow isn't the first company to offer lease/purchase then screw over the driver.

  • @kdraper2007 I wouldn't be surprised if it was that same way with Swift. I wouldn't trust Swift with anything nowadays because they have at least one division fail along with that CDL scandal out in TN. Basically I spoke with a truck dealer at one point in time. To get your shit together for a new truck, it will cost you 1/4 of the amount the truck is worth along with a very good business strategy. However not many of us can scrape that amt up working for cheap companies.

  • @shaithis45 Swift is just another mafia company, look at all the drug interstate running from his brother, good god, these fuckers make millions moving drugs. I took up trucking to do an honest living, these fucks are lower than sewage scum.

  • @shaithis45 the companies, it is a crying shame are all mommy mafia boys, they do not give a fuck about you, I wish I could say something different, so many years, hard years, doubles, triples, trains, semis are for gurls, hazmat, all the bullshit, the employers are all mafia, maybe some of them can do the work, it is totally embarrasssing, I wish good old boys would get true respect.

  • @shifter3479 need money to fly home

  • @shifter3479 You are another very wealthy guy without children, your stripper will pay for you to slide down the pole.

  • Hey Doug pielsticker , happy new year. Did ya have a nice Christmas? Doug pielsticker 3032 Trenton ave so. Tulsa Oklahoma What ? Call you ? Cool! 918-712-1006. Screw you!

  • nice video :-)

  • sell there truck as parts cut em up n run in for scrap.

they can afford to pay wreckers to go get the trucks they should be paying the drivers.

disgusting behavior from the company owners

  • Arrow didn't own the trucks. They were leased. The leasing companies are the ones towing the trucks.

  • ahh thought that after i wrote the comment, still wrong to let it go this far, i feel for all those drivers stuck out there and now gonna have a shitty christmas n new year cause of the bad management.

Karma will bite them in the ass...

  • swift is next?

  • thats sad but nice steve miller addition, i think i see someone hinting at arrow drivers what to do with their trucks(keep them) lol

  • Hey Cool Video, I'm From Lawton Oklahoma But Now Living Up In New York, My Brother Was Working For Arrow Trucking Out Of Tulsa Ok ,When They Shut The Doors ,He Was With Them For 14 Years..He Said They Just Could Not Pay There Way..I Was A Truck Driver Also For United Van Lines For 22 Years ..I Just Could Not Seem To Make It With All The High Prices Of Fuel And High Cost Of Repairs Going Up And The DOT .B.S New Regula Every Month ...I Found A Better & Easy Way To Make Money.

    Truck Driver Guru

  • employees should deffinately keep their trucks. Part them out and take money in lue of back wages.

  • hey I agree thats exactly what they should do !!!!

  • YUP, ILL GET THE CUTTIN TORCH OUT...

  • So my uncle being the brave one he is drove his load to the arrow parking lot not to its destination parked it in the middle of the road and left them a note for them to find there truck.LOL.He still has the truck in his driveway with the satelite unplugged and hes now wandering if hes gonna get a free truck lol.He hasnt got one call about it at all.Hes currently looking for a job with walmart.LOL

  • If ya got enough fuel to get home, go home and let the finance company worry about how to get the truck to the dealership, that's their problem, not yours!

  • Unbelivabul the shit that they did to there Drivers and on the holiday. I hope the owners Burn in Hell for this. What a waist of human Flesh. Bust of luck to all you Driivers out there. Carma will find the bastereds responsabull for this.

  • Arrow would get their truck when I got what was owed to me.

  • I'ddrop that trailer and drive that truck anywhere I needed to be. That is one fucked up way to go out.

  • wow thats rotten to do

  • yea i heard about this on the news the other day i think its bullshit a bus ticket home ?? what about the money that they own the drivers for there hard work and some company to go out of bussiness on christmas i guess thats there way of say HAPPY FUCKING HOLIDAY

  • No not the family, the finance company, the bank or whoever was in charge of that rate cuttin company, why should the driver stress about how to get home especially if they are owed a paycheck.

  • Sell the chains, the binders, the tires better yet drop the trailer unhook the quail com and head for the house, Let them worry about getting the truck to a dealership!!!

  • ^amen

  • WHAT THE FAMILY

  • Last tuesday they had 100's of trucks in the lot now you drive around it and nothing... they have all been taken... oh Dougie took the money and ran.

  • We had a similar situation last year where I live with a big company that went broke & trucks & drivers stranded everywhere.

Like everone says, the govt. bails out the banks and other useless paper shufflers, but help a productive company? No!

Guess it's a sign of the times.

  • Hey, we need to bail out Arrow Trucking. Oh wait, my bad. We don't bail out companies that actually do things. We bail out big investment banks.

  • come get you f@cking truck and work it up your arse yeah i'd be sure to bring it to a dealership.....

  • I got screwed out of job once,he just up and closed

  • hey truckertwotimes thansk for posting this. i was an arrow driver but got called up to active military duty in support of OIF/OEF. i am currently overseas and got alot of emails from my fellow employees bout this. doug pielsticker is an asshole and to do this right b4 christmas? he screwed alot of people.i was looking forward to coming home from the sand box and driving again. now i gotta look for another job. thanks to every1 for all the support and help to all my fellow drivers.

  • with a name lke pielsticker you have to be suspicious. He sticks more than peils!!!

  • the big wigs planned this. this "all of a sudden" crap, i don't buy it. but it is what it is. my prayers go out to the former arrow employees. hope the new year will be better!!!
