  • Coming this summer - Jack Whitehall starring in "Villager #8".

  • Well personally I think he's great, and so truthful. :')

  • Jack Whitehall isn't all that good.

  • He isn't making the UK look good at all.... we do have friendly staff in shops and good audiences!!

  • He sounds more British than usual... weird.

  • loomk at the 'seen on'' icon.. laugh thumbs up

  • I love this because these are his stand up jokes made into an interview format!!!!

  • 3:01 i'm sorry i heard something fall over, maybe it was jack dropping a name?

  • JUST love him. I literally died when he was telling the plane story!! tooo funnny

  • "Yeah, hilarious. You are very funny. Yeh. Very funny" Ellen.

  • First related video: Robert Pattinson.

  • "HEY BUDDY! HOW ARE YOU?!"

  • I'm British and can't understand why this guy is on an American talk show.

  • Omg my favourite american person (im scottish) and Jack Whitehall!!!!! Aaaah

  • I LOVE Jack Whitehall! WOO! He's made it in America :) almost

  • i would of thought people in england are more friendly tbh. But irish ftw! :D

  • Ellen looks as if she doesn't know how to act with him.

  • I'm American and I thought he was fucking hilarious and attractive too.

  • i love him<3

  • I love love love Jack Whitehall

  • Jack Whitehall is so much hotter than Robert Pattinson

  • In my opinion Jack Whitehall has to be one of the less funny comedians in Britain. Not to say he's not good, but this wasn't the best example of British humour I guess.

  • whats the point in going to America and just making shit jokes about Britain!? this guy sucks!

  • I laughed so much at the Apple Store joke-so funny!!!

  • maybe its just me but if i was a comedian and someone kept saying "thats really funny"/"you're funny" over and over again i'd find that somewhat patronising lol just like with everything else, if you keep hearing 'wow, you're good at this' i'd be like 'well yes, it's my job. stop being so surprised'. i dont know, maybe im just weird that way lol

  • @joystixxify I think Ellen just wasn't sure what to expect, Jack's got a very British sense of humour and even when you first see him on British tv with his posh accent and everything you don't expect somebody to act the way he does, he's a talented comedian.

  • Omg, I died laughing at the airplane anecdote. I need to go to the UK. US has no sense of humour.

  • Am not sure the American audience appreciates his humour

  • I would MUCH prefer Jack as Edward Cullen than Robert Pattinson!!

  • llielacey wtf? get ur facts rite

  • That audience is terrible, he's hilarious! Why aren't they laughing?

  • He sounds so posh!

  • Comment removed

  • He's not the only one who laughs when Robert dies in Harry Potter

  • so is fresh meat going to the us or something? channel 4 sold the rights?

  • He's funny in his natural environment with other comdedians talking about English topics from his expierence being brought up in the upper class. He more or less just comes across as some camp Brit here and other stand ups he did that I was not a fan of. He should be promoting Fresh Meat if anything.

  • @withey11 he is not upper class. he is as middle class as it gets

  • @withey11 This was before fresh meat. I must apologise on Jack's behalf for not promoting a show that wasn't around when he did this.

  • Sincere apologies to all American citizens for allowing this talentless, completely unfunny prickball to set foot on your nations soil, much less appear on your TV shows. While im at it, I'd also like to apologise for the avalanche of dog shit that is Russell Brand, Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan. We should have shot them all while we had the chance, now their poisoning TV on both sides of the Atlantic, God help us.

  • i hate it when people say "very funny" instead of laughing

  • Oh please, stop moaning about there being better UK comedians. Yes, there are, but Jack is still young and haven't reached the top of his game yet. And you have nothing to be embarrassed of. Being swedish and having to watch that stupid twat Basshunter on Never mind the Buzzcocks, THERE'S a moment of proper torture for you.

  • I get the impression from this that Ellen might not find Jack THAT funny ?

  • He is an idiot, that is not true about the british crowds, lol.

  • Jack Whitehall "british sensation"? hahahahaha funny

  • as an american who watches uk tv. this is weird for me feels like worlds colliding.

  • @tonybeir As an Englishman who watches American TV, this is weird, watching somebody as shit and irrelevant as jack make it across the pond.

  • @MeatSockPuppet As another Brit who watches American TV, it makes perfect sense that somebody as shit and irrelevant as Jack made it over there.

  • We have far better comedians than this guy in the UK. How did he get on ellen???

  • @Live4Ever329 Inorite?

  • @Live4Ever329 anybody gets on ellen...

  • he's got the robert patinson look bout him xD

  • boy done good xx

  • I LOVE JACK WHITEHALL :)

  • When I saw a video of Jack Whitehall on Ellen I thought I was about to be Rick Rolled lol

  • IM HERE TO BUY A PHONE NOT TO MAKE A FRIEND! OMG LMFAO

  • awkward that he just reused all of his old stand-up jokes. she's probably done some research on him and has already heard them too, so she had to pretend not to be embarassed

  • @sidsings000 standups always reuse their jokes. the problem with having standups on tv is that ppl remember their old jokes. standups are designed to do a show in one city and do another show in a different city with a new audience... -_-

  • let's get him on again!!!!!

  • I don't think that Ellen was prepared for Jack to act like he was doing his stand up routine. You can tell that she knows what he is doing and just isn't into it.

  • Great stuff- love watching Ellen pretending not to be completely lost...HA!

  • The customer service in the states sounds like a nightmare lol

  • @eblovesdb It's bad on both sides of the counter. lol

  • I hate it when the Brits criticise Americans with stereotypes, but watching this interview I can't help but feel it is somewhat true. Jack is VERY British in terms of humour, and it has gone straight over Ellen's head-she can't keep up with him, and can't respond or engage with him at all. It's like when American celebs come onto British talk shows-they often seem shocked by the way Jonathan Ross or Graham Norton for example interact with them. Strange how different our two cultures really are.

  • @Fattyyy01 Are you joking? or like cuz they went to the same school

  • thumbs up if you've seen the video of him slagging of the USA customer service! :L

  • Yes Jack.

  • hes not that funny jesus, its not a question of british vs american humour, im british and the guy has his moments but hes not that talented to be honest, hes just got alot of confidence and good connections and obviously hes very posh, americans love that

  • @postmasterw00t I agree 100%. He can be funny. Sometimes. But, by god, he clearly knows people who know people.

  • ellen should try to get sarah millican peter kay paddy mguiness or catherine tate on js

  • @elmoly123 I think Peter Kay would be great in America!

  • Jack cracking America well done dude lol

  • Jack has made it in America? So glad for him.

  • @yoursir100

No he hasn't. He's on a shit daytime chat show watched by about 3 people.

Sorry to break it to you.

  • @1878EFC2008 If by "shit daytime chat show" you mean one that has won 13 Emmy Awards, and if by "watched by about 3 people" you mean 3 Million a day (one of the most watched daytime shows in America) then yes, you're right on the money!

  • this guy use to present the TNT show on channel 4 talk about a rise to fame

  • look out america, he is a prick

  • i love jack whitehall but hess puttin on an even posher voice than normal here...

  • Comment removed

  • Out of interest, do Americans get his British humour, because as a Brit I think he's hilarious, but I get the feeling ellen's only laughing cos she doesn't know what to do, and the audience are laughing because they're so polite!!

  • Comment removed

  • @rjohnners I think that it depends on the person and what they find funny. I'm American, but I've come to love shows like Mock the Week (where I found Jack) and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, with some others that I'm getting introduced to. It's a different style in some ways, but I find it more entertaining. I do notice what you said though about Ellen sitting going "um...ok". I'm sitting here laughing.

  • YEAH TAKE THAT AMERICA!

  • Ellen's audience are always annoying. It's the reason I rarely watch it.

  • @yokie52 Yeah, they clap and yell to much when the person is talking

  • wish she would stop commenting on how funny he is. thanks but we already know.

  • Is it just me or is he putting an even posher voice on.

  • Ellen doesn't seem impressed. Don't care..love Jack.

  • Love this guy so so much ah wana go an see him loved him in fresh meat!

  • I ate a cake

    WOAH!!!! CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!!!

    I'm going for shit

YES WE LOVE YOU CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!!

  • I wonder if him and Robert pattinson have ever met?!

  • he sounds even posher here!

  • Why does she keep telling him he's funny ?!? So annoying

  • he's funny...but he really should find something else to talk about other than robert pattinson. he's been milking that and repeating those jokes forever now..

  • @dehro For a BRITISH AUDIENCE yeah, but this is hisfirst time in america and i doubt the americans have even heard of this guy.

  • love him so much!!!

  • hahahahhahaa so much love for him :D

  • Can see how he appeals to the US audience but Jack isn't that popular over here in England. He's over-exagerrating his accent, making up cliches that don't exist about England and doing a poor impression of the excellent Lee Evans. He's just not really that funny compared to some of the other excellent British comedians. Check out David Mitchell, Frankie Boyle, John Bishop, Russell Howard,Dara O'Brien, Stephen Merchant (Gervais writing partner) and of course Russell Brands stand up acts. Very good

  • @evenflow1981 Dara O'Brien's Irish.. not British :)

  • @3Crutz Lol I knew someone would point that out! He made his name on British TV though and Irish and British humour is incredibly similar so thought I'd throw him in with the other recommendations from this part of the world!

  • @3Crutz to be british includes ireland ...... northern ireland that is .... britain is england ireland scotland wales then you are either english, irish, scottish, welsh oh and to top it off we even fall under the category of being european..... dara o'brien is from bray county wicklow which is not far from dublin so he is from republic of ireland

  • @llielacey Northern Ireland is in the United Kingdom NOT Britain, there's a difference.

  • @Padraig1980 omg !!!! are you shitting me right now did you ever do geography ???? britain is england ireland scotland wales fucking go read a book ....

  • @llielacey You're wrong. I'm from England, and Britain is the island itself, as in Scotland, England and Wales. The United Kingdom is Britain and Northern Ireland.

  • @Padraig1980 also as you are from ireland you would know the show britains got talent??? if britain was just england why would they go to scotland wales and ireland??? (northern) cause they are british its obvious you have a computer so you can even google it if ya like....

  • @llielacey I have read plenty of books thank you.

Great Britain consists of England, Scotland and Wales.

Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom or to give it it's full name the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

So I suggest maybe you go read a book and stop relying on where they go in Britains Got Talent as your source of information.

  • @Padraig1980 wow you are a waste man!!! seriously go get some education .... really and i was making an example you stupid TWAT!!!! go to school learn something it will do you a world of good but i'll give you 2 for effort tho :) FAIL!!!!

  • @llielacey Well all your name calling and lack of knowledge of your own geography shows your unwillingness to educate yourself.

I stand by what I said: Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom but is not part of Great Britain which is an island consisting of England, Scotland and Wales.

If Northern Ireland was a part of Great Britain then they would not call it the United Kingdom of Great Britain AND Northern Ireland.

Now take your trolling elsewhere as I am done with you.

  • @evenflow1981 dara o'briain is irish, not british. he just happens to live in england now

  • @cjohnlinde See below reply to similar point.

  • I LOVE JACK WHITEHALL! so funny <3

  • Being English, Jack's on my telly a lot! He's great!

It seems like America like him too and rightly so!

  • love love love jack whitehall!

  • He is SOOOOO cute! I watched him on Graham Norton Show, it would be cool if Ellen would be a guest there :P

  • i love jack but for the record not all brits are proper in talk show audiences, go to the north of england and we party and dance to everything cuz we dont care

    jack whitehall is hot

  • @scousechick87 Clearly it was a joke...

  • does anyone think Ellens a bit plastic?

  • he's so funny, i love him

  • You can see him on the "Graham Norton Show" with Adele. Very funny.

  • very funny guy,and seems nice too

  • HAHAHAHA "I need to buy a phone not make a friend"

  • Im glad Ellen likes him.. Well it seems like these dayz americans are more welcoming to british talent now... Maybe I should go and strike while the irons hot

  • Ellen PLEASE bring him back on the show!!!!

  • oh OMG this is the guy that in every interview, every show say i was robert classmate's always the same joke ,should change of joke XD

  • I think I'm in love :P he's just hilarious and adorable at the same time!!

  • awww i'm sitting here killing myself laughing but I don't think American humour is the same

  • HAHAHA american audiences laugh at anything

  • i like him buts he is very very posh sounding isnt he

  • Jack Whitehall isn't remotely funny even in the UK, can't stand him at all

  • Jack Whitehall has trhe steriotypical British/English accent. Does us no favors phaha!

  • i'm American, but complete get british humor. Well I had the luxury of having half my family from England. So it is almost like second nature to me. Sometimes when I do something funny nobody gets it because my humor is more British. Jack Whitehall is hilarious, but Ellen seemed lost. Oh yeah and English/British girls I find more attractive than American one's.

  • I'm British, but I don't live there any more. Every time I go back, I find that customer service does exist. A lot of it is good. However, the Americans are the masters. They are the Jedi Knights of customer service.

  • As an American I'd like to defend my culture by saying I completely get British humor and I like it better than American humor. Although I do have an obsession with England, though...

  • its funny how we english people can understand american comedy but americans cant understand our comedy, the thing about the apple shop bit in the video, ellen seemed very lost when he actually said something funny she was she was just clueless lol

  • I think Jack made the UK audience comment as a joke to poke fun at how posh and proper Americans think the British are.

  • I though you were villager 6 Jack....

  • After seeing him on Graham Norton (who is actually witty and can hold a decent discussion), Ellen seems to be a little lost when talking to him.

  • im from the uk and Jack Whitehall is making up a load of shit... whilst putting on a false posh voice that totally exaggerates his own!!! Hes talking shit!!

  • @bethyblu i agree, i'm english and i admit i am quite well spoken but he is really putting on the accent. I've seen him before in other things and in england he is nowhere near as posh and if anything he tries to be more chavy! Just look at his "my funnies year" thing and he tries to speak more "street".

  • @bethyblu He's a comedian, that's what they do numb nuts!

  • ellen didnt really find it funny.. probably just cos she just didnt know what to answer to jacks humour. i dont really like her anyway always really stuck up and borin (my opinion)

  • How many times do the audience need to woop clap and cheer? -.- they do that for nearly the whole interview!!!!

  • The audiences aren't really different to America, anywhere, they just clap and laugh.

  • I'm here to buy a phone - not make a friend. Stay away!

  • amazing how americans applaud just any shit

  • Comment removed

  • he's hilarious. if you don't think so, fuck off and watch the disney channel

  • I think he is really funny, if you don't like him i can't grasp why you would watch this :S

  • What I don't understand is that, if he's not funny, why the fuck is he famous and on/ has been on pretty much all the best comedy related shows in England?!

  • Must the audience cheer and clap at bloody everything?? I'm watching this to see jack Whitehall, not to hear whooping and clapping drown out his voice

  • Love the way that ellen normally looks funny enough next to her regular guests and she cant keep up with him at all, she comes off so unfunny in this!

  • Ahh, How Proud I am To Call Myself English (: I Love Him <3

  • I had no idea jack whitehall did things in america! proud.

  • @BManningKing You're a cunt, Shut up

  • His interview on the Graham Norton Show with Miranda Hart and Adele was just AMAZING! :) So funny.

  • Studio Guest: BLAH BLAH BLAH

American Audience: WOOOOOOOOO!!! *wild arm movements*

  • Comment removed

  • I hate the falseness of American audiences. There a bit patronising aint they lol

  • Comment removed

  • @1Thompsonmusic I agree he aint funny. But still I feel the same about American audiences

  • People saying this isn't English humour... Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is.

  • i am so confused. since when has jack whitehall been in America? Awk I'm happy for him, but I DON'T WANNA SHARE HIM!!:'(

  • wtf is he doing in america

  • @cona192 because he most likely earn's 20x more money then you and he can afford to go to go anywhere he want's...

  • @dab15erz i cud say same thing to you :L but it says in the description that the uk is crazy for him which is complete bullshit, i can think of a dozen household comedians who wud come before him, the uk is not crazy for him at all, only reason yanks seem to be crazy for him is bcus he is posh...

  • Comment removed

  • @cona192 Anyone can go where they want? Fuck off.
