dilemma! I'm stuck between the FS-10 or the Canon ixus 100 (which is the same as the model you mentioned; the sd780) but i'm not sure which one to get. The sd780 is about 20 bucks less on ebay.

@ByBleeker Just depends on how you much you value the slo-mo feature on the fs10. The cannon doesn't have that feature.

But the optical zoom in those cameras is always blocked while you are recording movies.

I wonder if that has technical reasons or if they do this to protect the camcorder market.

I've been looking for a good Video camera to help me analyze my track and field form and this camera fit all my needs, but was unsure about a few details. Your vid helped me so much on it. Can't wait to get it and put up some slow motion Track and Field stuff!

If only there was a decent Camera with a 90fps option cuz thats pretty much all I need but this camera still fits my needs greatly.

i have the fc100 which is basicly the same camera but a biiit smaller and has more zoom. i dont know about the fs10 has 3cm makro. And it's just great i love it! But the fs10 only have 10cm makro :/ + the fc100 is hoter i think ;)

Dude awesome, awesome review. I was really interested in this camera, hence the research I'm doing now. You just sold me on it. I'm looking for a camera with a high burst rate for taking pics of me and my buddies snowboarding yet small enough I don't have to be hindered by it. Add recording in slo-mo and HD? SOLD! I'm buying it as soon as I stop typing. Get a hold of Casio, you deserve a cut!

Thanks for the kind words, hope the camera works out for you. The burst shoot mode is AWESOME! It gives you the option to keep any one of 30 frames shot within ONE SECOND. Each shot is in 9 megapixels! Can't beat that!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm sticking with exilim for point and shoot cams, they are great! I still use my Z80 believe it or not!

nice review .. one question: i know the 1000 fps high speed shooting is really small in size but is the quality still good? if you were to blow it up to about 'youtube size' how would it look? i would guess the 200 or 420 fps mode for high speed shooting it has nice size to work with...

I have a video or two at 1000 fps up on youtube. The quality is BAD, unless you have enough light. You need ALOT of light! The 200 fps is amazing, check out my other vids to see it in action....
