All together the MkV R32 is a waste of money and a piece of shit car. Cold or not the Mk4 R32 sounds like a beast, this sounds no where near as good as that or the 2.0t sad to say.
@Elerokos Your an idiot.. The MkV is a much better car than the Mk4.. Not saying that the Mk4 is bad but just because you can't afford a MkV doesn't mean you have to call it "a waste a money"..
In my opinion and most people for that case, the MkV is the BEST sounding V6 in the world..

@NoongaFindAphone I don't need to afford an MkV.... don't make assumptions and insults because you got butt hurt over my personal opinion that the MkV R32 sounds like shit compared to the MkIV and new Golf R. I own your standard no frills Mk6 Gti and a 2011 Sti. Both of which I would pick over the MkV R32 any and every day of the week. I have enough money to afford what I want and what makes me happy.
@Elerokos You obviously have close to no knowledge on cars then.. If you actually believe that a "Golf R sounds better" than a MkV then you must be death, The Golf R and GTI are 4 cylinder engines and can't be compared to a V6...
The R32 would destroy the GTI off the line because a GTI is FWD.. Not once in my previous comment did i argue that the R32 was a 'faster' car, i simply said it was a good sounding car.. And it is..

@NoongaFindAphone When did I mention anything about speed...... You're just going way off track now. And death is not the proper word. Everyone you know and yourself must be DEAF if you think the 6 cyl in the MkV sounds better than the MkIV. The stock exhaust on the MkV is complete trash. Too bad everyone I saw at Waterfest today were ignoring the MkV R32 for the MkIV R32's. I'm done, you just hate when people don't agree with you, like a Honda driver.
@Elerokos Its alright if you can't afford a R32 i understand that but to say that it is "complete trash" is just you being jealous that i was able to get a stable job and afford a new R32 at 21 years old.. If i wasn't as lucky i would have bought a GTI or MkIV but i know they would have disappointed me..
Stop acting immature, obviously both R32's are great cars.. Stick to your opinion and don't grow up i honestly don't give a fuck. Why don't you upload a video of 'YOUR' GTI and your STI..
@NoongaFindAphone LOL you're really easy to troll. I'm 21 also but if you check the MSRP an Sti starts at 33k. Now given I didn't have the money when MkV was available but I wouldn't have gotten the R32 based on the simple fact it has a DSG. Sure a suitcase or even resonater delete would make it sound 10x better but I hate DSG. Same thing I did to my old VR before I got rid of it. Now an opinion means I'm childish hmmm. I'll upload a vid of the Sti after my tbe get's in from the UK.
@Elerokos Mate do your research before telling me complete garbage. .According to Subaru.com.au an STI starts at $26,000+. Now i don't classify that as an expensive car but you may.. Grow up and stop "Trolling" its pathetic... A VW R32 has optional DSG, The same seen in a Bugatti Veyron. Manual may impress school kids but an Automatic DSG system is what wins races, a human can not shift as fast a computer and that's a fact.. You know what have fun with your little STI (if you actually have one)
@NoongaFindAphone Sorry about not being here for awhile lol. I'm speaking American prices. Where did winning races come in? And it's the same idea as the Bugatti, not the same trans lol. Manual is fun, bottom of the line. I like the gearbox next to me with my ability driving it. All of the computerized bullshit coming out just gives more things to go wrong in the car. Every VW I've had has always been electrical problems, nothing else. But to each his own.
@Elerokos So let me get this right...... You don't like 'computerized' cars and yet you apparently own a VW Mk6 Gti and a Subaru 2011 Sti.... Mmmm, poor choice there.. I own a manual forester and a 09R32 DSG golf, YES manual is fun to drive but the DSG system in the R32 is soooo much better! The 'flappy panel gearbox' is just superb!
am i just confused by all the comments? the gti had the deeper growly exhaust note... car on left.. the car on the right sounded like a civic. strange
@ManFromSaturn i agree that stick is much more of a fun experience when driving, as i have a 6 speed mkv myself. But dont bash the dsg, seeing how it is one of the quickest shifting and best transmissions out there.
ok r32 sounds better maybe looks better and would probly get owned by a prius

Y'all need to do this with sticks; DSG's are for women and one-armed drivers.

The GTI has a 4K rev limiter so you don't get to hear the roar from the APR Exhaust
