No clutch, it's an auto. And yes, I do have a skid plate in the video covering the engine vitals (oil pan/oil filter). You can see it at 12:05. It's an OEM steel one off an old 80's Subaru.
I suppose the reason for doing this falls under the category of "because it's there", but I don't understand why. Watching videos of Subaru's seems to mostly have people taking their car off road and climbing hills. If nothing else it has convinced me to buy a new Subaru, but not a used one.
@steevum Buying a used one only means it was previously loved or not loved enough... Just like these guys we can all show used subies some real love :)
After watching these vids it makes me want to take mine out, apart from the bigger tyres, what else have you done to it?
