  • Anthony David is like a beautiful spring day. This guy captures the moment amazingly.

  • I like the song but I dont get the video at all...he is in love with one woman but can imagine himself with several others?

  • Real music lasts forever..

  • Sexual Chocolate!

  • Awesome remake!!!

  • This is a good cover version of my favorite Level 42 song.

  • There is something about YOU Ant!! Much love & God bless!

  • If the video channels would go back to MUSIC and not reality tv this guy could get some airtime which he deserves. This song works because it came from a great original.

  • lets face it the video is laughable but I like Anthony David and this is Barry White meets the New Romantics and thst surprising and good.

  • Nice remake

  • Excellent cover!

  • this is sweet!

  • OMG!!!! Loved Level 42 and absolutely LOVE this version! Awesome job!

  • One of my favorite recent remake finds. He kept true to the orginal but his voice added his own signature sound to it. Cant wait to hear him live, ONE MONTH FROM TODAY! YEAH.

  • Great remake!

  • Love this guy. Yall ever heard "Words" with India.Aire?

  • THIS IS WHAT 'S BEEN MISSING IN BLACK MUSIC SOUL AND PASSION THE LYRICS ONE IS SINGING. Great cover from my childhood and this brotha is singing the way soul black singers used to sing without the bling, ghetto poustring and modern hip- hop theartics, Let's hope we hear from Anthony David in the future and less from Beyonce, Rhiana, T-Pain and the no- talent souless era of Black Music

  • Cool!

  • amazing song!

  • cool

  • Anthony David did a nice job with this song. There's something hidden beneath the actual lyrics that he does a nice job capturing.

  • This song is so good, versions.

  • This song is so good.

  • @salamonetalton as a white man you make me fucking sick.

  • Wow!! this is a great remake of the great Level 42 classic!! Who is this brotha? never heard of him...

  • this is one of my favorite level 42 songs and he did a great job covering it!!!

  • Enjoying this tune!!

  • Awesome...like Level 42 meets Donny Hathaway produced by Darkchild.

  • Just shows how some songs are just universal to humankind.

  • I love this one and the old one! His voice is perfect for this song!

  • I think Level 42 played it better.

  • I looooove your voice.... something comforting in it!!!!! whooooooo

  • sorry but nah - lacks 'edge'

  • mellow and easy listening. i love it. You could even do a lil stepping to it. The total package.

  • GREAT JOB MY DUDE!!!!THIS IS AMY FAVORITE LEVEL 42 SONG.

  • im 80's old school, and this is totally awesomly knarly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check out my ever changing 80's playlist.

  • yes

  • your voice sings to my soul!

  • Love this song and just about every version of it thanks to Level 42

  • both LEVEL 42 and Anthony David did a wonderful job on this song and it hapens to be my favorite liked it ,love it , keep it jam it LEVEL 42 4 EVER William Tulsa,OK

  • Great cover of a really good song could only be improved by a bass solo from the KIng himself!!

  • level 42's ORIGINAL is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! So is this rendetion by Anthony David, displays his diversity. Keep jammin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Level 42's ORIGINAL is GREAT!!!!!!!!! Anthony David did a great job also, shows his diversity.

  • Have to hear him sing it LIVE! I love it still

  • loved L 42 didnt like this song but do now. someone explain please.

  • @grazer770 it may have sum'n to do the brit flavor.....its sum'n bout that sound that comes thru in their voices. (jus my thought)

  • @hrtsfield as i said, i was and still am a big level 42 fan and i would love to hear all their songs covered by black american artists. being an 80's band i think they sound very mechanical at times and it would be great to hear a bit more soul and a bit more swing.

  • love me some Anthony David... a*****post here! Level 42 ROCKS....

    Missu/One

  • why would you go and mess up a song by Level 42 ?? can you come up with your own beat??? can't you create your own? is so easy to sample or copy! LAZY!!!!!

  • You know I have to agree with you. I love Anthony David, but he should have never touched this song. This is a song that just can't be redone. LEVEL 42 ROCKS!!!

  • Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice song

  • TOTALLY AGREE!!!!

  • Anthony Davis did a great job covering this song, but Level 42's version is hot as hell. their bass line along with all the instruments are so driving.

  • How phat is dat??? One of my favorite 80's tunes mixed with one of my favorite styles of music. Nice!!!

  • I just discovered this and LOVE it!! Love Level 42's original and though I hate covers, this one was really nice by a great singer

  • I Am totally against covers.. but he has the voice for the song:P

  • I loved the original. And it translates very well to a romantic R&B song. Nice job!

  • that chick is hot as hell

  • Nice. Hadn't run across this till just today. Mr David did it justice.

  • Not bad, but I dunno, his singing seems pretty flat in this song. I really don't like the female backup singers singing the bridge.

The music is really good though.. cool to see Level getting some cover treatment.

  • this just feels good...excellent cover :)

  • I'm a fan of Level 42 and Anthony Davis did an outstanding job on this song. loved it!!

  • Level 42 a dit OK à Anthony David pour cette chanson

  • I like it. It really is soulful. Its a 'steppin' song too. The original had soul in it but this one has real soul.....

  • SiMPLY BEAUTiFUL!!

  • makes me want to ride on the gulf coast with the top down singing to my wife

  • @bonbonvie1 GULF COAST!! ooh yeah baby... Houston/Galveston,Texas ;)

  • badman business....wicked rendition for real

  • I LOVE this song!! He is very talented and is voice is like a breathe of fresh air.

  • John Legend should do this song.

  • @phototristan john legend is my dude....he has impacted my life like no other...but you cant disrespect anthony david like...he rocked this song!!!...

  • Great song to play homage to. What a remake! Great song, and great job by Anthony.

  • I think i still like it with just him and his trusty axe. Not that this was bad, but if i hear a studio version, i wanna hear king slapping the crap out of that bass.

  • I dunno about that. If I want to hear bass, just give me the '80's original. AD remade it into something just as cool, imo.

  • WOW!!!!! I like this better than the original!!

  • Just beautiful.

  • I don't understand this video...How is he picturing himself with other beautiful women and then saying it's something about you...Is he saying there's something about every woman, or just about the one he's with....I don't get it...I like the song, but the video is messing me up, anyone want to help me understand this?

  • I think the video is saying that we are all human and making mistakes is part of that. Lifes imperfections and knowing what you have.

  • i dont i was the only that didnt understand

  • The first version I heard of AD doing this song was the live acoustic version he did. This version is cool but I like his acoustic version better. And I've always loved the Level 42 version. That version always takes me back to a special time in my life like few songs do.

  • Is it me or does this song's melody sound exactly like Denice Williams "Free"... I've thought that since the first time I heard the original. But I love both versions, this one is a really nice homage to the Level 42 original.

  • Hmm.. Well, the melody to Free is slower and more sing songy than this, but there is a similar scale progression to the melody, so I do see the similarity between the two.

Both songs are masterpieces in their respective genres. :-)

  • @morpheusxnyc

Yeah. Level 42 had said that they had "Free" by Denice Williams in mind when the composed "Something About You." Both songs have that rising sequence in the chorus.

  • Great cover..goofy video though...LOL!!!

  • Love the orignal... but he did a great job!!

  • is he english??? i got that brown dress she wearing lol

  • thanks to level 42 for giving us this beautiful song!

  • Beautiful rendition!

  • I love the original but I have no problems with this cover as well. AD has agreat voice and the groove on this is timeless so it should come as no surprise that this works.

  • This version of the song is so good and it is showing respect to the original performers (level 42). This version gives a more soul/jazz feel-very smooth. The original version is funk style, a bit more staccato. The original singer (Mark King) is a virtuoso bassist and his vioce sounds like Bill Withers.

This young man really feels this song here. He interprets the song with loyalty to its original form, just bringing out or putting emphasis on different elements than the funk version.

  • this dont want to see the original

  • Created a Ringtone from this video on Tube2Tone[dot]com

  • soothing....awesome song

  • He picked a great song to cover and did a great job. I enjoyed it.

  • @neesayer this song gets me through sometimes,....you're right, he did an excellent job.

  • Love this man's voice. I haven't heard him sing anything I didn't like. But then again he is just so fine.......

  • Very soulful. I give it a thumbs up. Tastefully done. Excellent pacing. I would have tightened up the strings during the bridges a little more and punched up the down beat adding a more jazzy feel.

  • Love his voice!!

  • sounds similar to the guy from the lighthouse family

  • I like this, but there is something missing..........oh yeah, it's NOT Level 42! LOL. You know it's tasteful and it highlights the great songwriting of the great L42, but it's a bit TOO slick for me and lacking in dynamics. Hey, at least L42's music is influencing people still today..damn right

  • I knew this song from a colleague i am so happy for this song.

  • Good Cover,but Orginal is Orginal...sorry

  • love dis sng both frm him and level 42

  • He is so freakin mad, you should see what he's putting on Twitter hahahaha

Great sexy man with loads of humour!!!

  • love his raspy voice

  • This is great. I'm a Level 42 fan and love the original and this complements it wonderfully.

  • this is hot why this dude aint blowin up

  • that's what i am trying to figure out

  • not bad cover nice voice, but level42 puts it in the shade.

  • i'm so late on this video!

  • i love him i was listening to him just yesterday

  • he has sooooo sexy and amazing voice!! i love it! :)

  • anthony david is fiyah

  • i knew the melody sounded familar! love anthony :)
