Do you have an IDE CDROM or SATA?

IDE (AKA ATAPI) will not work on this board without and IDE PCI Adapter.

If u use single GPU graphic card it will hardly use whole bandwith. Its only useful when you have dual GPU.

I have this board too. Just made 2 weeks ago as a secondary machine. Works really fast with 4 gig ram and Q 6700 And geforce 9600 gt will update with gtx 275 next month. ^^

Ok, to clear up any questions regarding PCIe 2.0, heres an excerpt from the manual

⎯ Supports PCI Express GEN2 frequency of 2.5 GHz resulting in 5.0 Gb/s each

direction (1000 MB/s total). Maximum theoretical bandwidth on interface of 8

GB/s in each direction simultaneously, for an aggregate of 16 GB/s when

operating in x16 mode.

16GB/s is the data transfer rate of PCIe 2.0 so yes it does support it. Also supports 8GB/s PCIe 1.0.

I think for HTPC's where the user intends to pump out HD through on board graphics AMD is the way to go.

The 780G chipset has a Ati 3200 series GPU on board - takes the stress from the CPU and even plays some games at good framerates - the intel integrated graphics can't touch it :)

this is true. AMD is great and all price wise. but once i realized how much better the intels were (OC, speed, etc) i can't see anyway AMD will catchup. we DO need AMD to keep the intel prices down. we all know what intel would do if they owned the market...
