I am not a scholar but I thought I'l say what I know :) Shaytaan is not an angel, he is of the jinn. The evidence for this:
"Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam":they bowed down except Iblis (shaytaan). He was one of the Jinns and he broke the Command of his Lord.Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you!" (18:50).
Regarding the rest of the question, I dont quite understand so I cannot comment :) Perhaps you could clarify.
sheytan was a jinn, he wa created from fire BY allah. than he disobeyed allah, so allah punished him. sheytan asked allah, if he can have the powers to trick people, allah said only those that allow themselves to be tricked. so from beggining of time, till the end sheytan will be there to trick people, and send them in the wrong path. sheytan is not the most powerful force, no force can compare to allah. allah is the one that created him. in the end allah will end sheytan

It's the website of proffessor Dr. Saleh as-Saleh.. also you can just search for his lectures here on youtube. I reommend you to listen to the lecture " Who do we worship" here at youtube from the Dr. Snackar du svenska?.
@sammimann Also shaytan can not do anything if not Allah wants so. This is like everything else. None of the creation does anything without the permission of Allah. You can not hurt nor give benefit something if not Allah wants so.

i know im a little late to be telling you this brother, but there is a sheik who's name is samer al omran who recites al furqan very beatiful recitation. to view it quicker its in my favorites on my page.
Please be aware there is a postration point in Surah al Inshiqaq 84:21.
"And when the Qur'aan is recited to them, they fall not prostrate."
This means we should face the Qibla and postrate. There are fifteen places in the Qur'aan where we should perform this sajdat al-tilaawah, check my description for more info and the 15 places where we should postrate.
