@charliecobham The capo isn't essential. Alex has it with a capo on the fourth fret, so as it is in the key of E. This guy has no capo, so it's just in the key of C. This guys voice is in key, and if he played it in a higher key, his voice might not go that high. It's just a key change to suit your voice, tbh.

@doppimus haha, idk, not autotuned, but something doesn't sound right. Don't get me wrong, the song/cover sounds great, but the audio of your voice for some reason sounds altered or not lined up or something, I don't know how to explain it. Do you know what I'm talking about?

@naveregnide yeah there is another way to play an F. If you have your hand in the C chord position just lower your ring and middle finger down a string each. And then barre the high E and B string with your index finger.

I don't know if this is how he meant it- but I'm assuming that it is because Alex is now in the process of recording his second full album and is also planning tours to play his music instead of just attending youtube/nerdfighter gatherings.

I think Alex has a very unique style of melody for Holding On which I didn't even try to follow/failed to follow. I think this ended up being part my harmony part Alex's melody for my melody. If that makes any sense. Plus I changed a chord.
