Wow, you are really good. I love the makeup and love the way you put your videos together. It doesn't feel too long like some other makeup tutorials. Good Job!
yes it is...by pulling up on the brow, and tightening the skin, you have a flat surface to apply the shadow. it's much easier than dealing with the natural folds of the eye...
I've been watching your videos all day, and I think you're a wonderful make up artist with fun, flirty young ideas that can be pulled off by anyone, and there's very few make up videos which do that. (I know, as I feel like I've exhausted all the African American make up videos on youtube) Since I'm darker than this model (the same shade as the model Keri Ann), I'll have to play around with colours to match this theme, but I just wanted to thank you!
this is one of my fav looks other than miami heat. i have been searching for a foundation and i have tried everything. i like this line because the make up has medium to full coverage without looking caked on (from what i can see). hopefully my search is over. the only thing is WE WANT MORE!lol great job/ creative looks and themes
questions
1. how do you lighten the whole eye area and blend into full face ?
Thanks for the compliments, alonzjay! I'm working on more vids, and actually plan on loading up a couple this week...
to answer your questions:
1) concealer AFTER the foundation. It has better coverage and staying power that way b/c it's layered over m/p. You can customize the shade by blending the 3 colors found in the palette to match your foundation.
2)although a liquid liner gives a more precise finish, it can sometimes by hard to control. Try a gel liner applied with an angled brush...
it glides on easier. Start drawing the wing B4you get to the end of the lashes, otherwise you may end up doing more of a "Cleopatra" look rather than a cat eye.
thank you both for the nice comments...if there's a video look that you like but the model isn't in your skin tone, lemme know and i'll make suggestions that can work for you, and/or make a video of a similar look with someone of a different complexion...
i love your videos and the models are always cheery, playful and fun to watch while you apply the makeup :-) I was afraid some of the colors wouldn't work b/c I'm really dark skinned but some of the lighter eye colors (not lip sticks) actually turned out nice as I toned them down a bit...keep posting!

is it better to pull your eyebrow up when applying eye shadow?

@deadsexycosmetics but doesnt all of that pulling cause wrinkles? every makeup artist i talk to tells me not to do that.
Kishwick 1 year ago
If you wear makeup everyday, I wouldn't pull on my eyes. You don't want to wrinkle prematurely.
