Poverty is a curse. Everyone needs a chance at life. And christians need to do something for this harsh world, in a good christ-like way. Give, bless and spread hope and love.
Joyce Meyers just reached through the television and set my heart and fire and healed me in only one sermon. I love you Joyce Meyers, I grew up in a family without God. I guess I was the only one that really loved God, which inspired me to sing praises to His name. I love your courage and direct talk. I needed support and you made me feel like I wasn't alone. With God's blessing and your push over the edge, I knew you were real and I could have faith, that I am not alone. Love Always-Sarah
I love Joyce Myers. She (CDs) are one of my closest friends and she (CDs) will be with me forever. She will make you laugh, make you cry and make you a better person. God is on her side. WE LOVE YOU JOYCE MYERS AND WONDERFUL DAVE
The "Great Commission" applies to Men AND Women! Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and spread the Gospel. A person who hears the word and gives his or her life to Christ doesn't much care if he heard the Gospel from a man or a woman. Just Spread The Gospel!! May God Bless Joyce and Dave Meyer.
Thank you Joyce Meyer ministries for your "real" to life preaching and making such a positive impact on our lives. I can truely say that JOYCE's teachings has enhanced my growth with JESUS CHRIST!!
I believe that God is perfectly fine with her teaching and changing lives, because He's allowed her to impact millions. She doesn't claim to have authority over her husband or any other man; she submits when necessary. And remember just what she said at the end of the video: "We ALL have a part in this...'Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature' is EVERYBODY'S job."
I don't mean to sound hateful, but I believe God is fine with her teaching.
You are taking Pauls comments in this book out of context. To understand you must study the era these people lived in. Some interpret this passage to mean that women should never teach in an assembled Church such as you are suggesting. Priscilla taught Apollos, the GREAT (male) Preacher (Acts 18:24-26) Paul also frquently spoke of other women who held positions of responsibility in the Church. There are many, do you want Books, Chapters & Verses?
That's like referring to cor 6:6 to say there can't be homosexual christians is pulling it out of context, which I hope you don't end up suggesting.
Scripture cannot contradict scripture, in context my verse can only be taken one way, just because Priscilla taught him, scripture never says it was appropriate.
How would you interpret the verse "I do not permit a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man."?
last night i was eating a nice creamy yogurt and the news came on to show this poor african boy and family havins to dig up roots to eat to survive and magabiis sitting growing fat in his stately home , what about them ? i couldnt finish my suooer and felt so ashamed because i had food in my kitchen ,,from barbara cooper g britain
A Christian man of God respects women who preach the word as women do their men as I do respect you here/now, whomever you are & I respect that completely. Please study the subject completely and then debate it with w/ God's Love in Your Heart. You cannot pull out 2-3 verses and fully understand it's meaning if it is not studied. You're saying: if your a man and listen to the word of God coming from a female your going to Hell or what exactly are you saying anyway? CONTEXT CONTEXT CONTEXT
Who are you, you asked? You are everything. You are so important, more than maybe you realise. Joyce Meyer Ministries help so many people around the world, it blows my mind the amount of outreach they do. You can also view yearly financial reports from the ministry at joyce meyer dot-org under the heading of financial accountability. I'm a 39 year old married mother of one daughter from Australia. God called me through her TV program over 10 years ago. My life was forever changed.
you're right that the tithing thing is wrong and we are not living under the law any more. But being content and being rich don't conflict with each other. It's ok to be rich and it's a must to be content.
Hi Joyce, We have started a website to bring people together to help people in need we would like to know about becoming a non profit so people aren't so skeptical. Right now they think we're a scam and we're just trying to help bring people together any advice.
This woman is not lying. Hundreds upon thousands of people have testified to how powerful Joyce Meyer's ministries was to them. She's kind of a starlet in the Christian Community. You wouldn't have to pay anyone to tell their Joyce Meyer story. Watch her sometime, it can change your life.
i also asked her ministry to help a pastor in kenya build a water system so his people wouldnt keep dying from bad water diseases but they ignored me.
i quit listening to joyce after the holy spirit told me she was into money too much. the plastic surgery and all that left me wondering who she has become. she could probably reach more people if she lived modestly. her books and all that were given by God so she shouldn't be rich off that either. all we have comes from God alone.
Jesus wasn´t poor when he was setting the example. He became poor at the point where he became our subsitute on the cross. Let´s not preach poverty as a blessing. Let´s tell it like it is: a curse. There is no problem in us (or Joyce) living a good life as long as she´s doing the good works. And she is. Let´s stop criticizing each other out of envy and start to love each other.
the spostle paul lived the good life but it didn't involve mansions and lexuses and limos and the like. i'll stick with him and his writings and what the holy ghost tells me. financial modesty is not poverty.
What a blessing. Thank you.

Now if she's just teaching women, and youth, there's no problem, but she goes past that and so do alot of other female preachers.

Congratulations on your rejection of ... does it matter?
Jesus came to condemn?
I'm sure it will work out the way it should .. if you say and do what "The Big Fellow" says.
I'm sure.
