@craziikid9 - Thanks for your reply. It's a class and people attend the class who have never danced before so you will see people that may not get the movement on the first try and that's okay. Come try a dance or two and show us what you are workin with crazikid9. Peace!
Every one should learn this dance. Pearl Primus 1959. The dance is one of the first we learned as Afrikans living in America but we need to get with elders to regain the orginal music dance moves and songs! Chuck Davis is one of our last. STUDY and Preserve.
I would give it more of a thumbs up if there was more space to practice and see the funn dance. My 11 year old and kids her age did this one and it would have been nice to see the full dance. I do give it thumb up.
That's just it. It IS a class. The "bumbling" is because they ARE trying to learn and get the moves. Hmmm... wonder what you look like when doing dance moves you've never done before.
Looks like fun! *sigh* I miss my African dance troupe.
OMG. Get it together, ladies! Great idea and nice class, but too much bumbling around from most of the participants. In some parts of this clip, it actually seems like a comedy! Hope they keep taking the class so they can get the moves and be more confident about it. (by the end it gets better)
