Looking at the comments I don't think everyone realizes that this was an e3 demo for mass effect 1......they changed a s*it load of things. That's why it looks so wierd and ashleys voice is different and garrus looks different. Also it just said 'mass effect' not mass effect 3.

The original galaxy map looks pretty slick, better even. The guns also seem more "real", like those in ME2. On the other hand, the HUD is rough and the voices are inferior. Playing as other characters looks neat, but I see why they dropped it. Garrus looks better in silver IMO. Overall, the retail game is better, but there are some surprises in this video.

The option to incinerate remains in the current release, in the form of round upgrades. Equally, freezing, and other such effects are also an option depending on your chosen rounds.

You can control your party members with the d-pad in real time - more convenient.

Mass effect is a very good game. The action part is slightly frustrating, with cover being slightly hard to lock onto, and your allies constantly getting in the way, but see past these and It is in my top 5 games ever

I know. For example the making your squad members go somewhere you want thing. It's ridiculous that it's not in the end version, because there was this time in Feros, I walked into a dead end... And guess who was blocking my way? My squad. So I tried squeezing through them... AND THEY WON'T MOVE!!! I tried all I could, shoot them, throw nades, whatever, they won't move and I couldn't get out and I needed to load from an earlier save! What a pathetic way to die!!

Still, end product was amazing.

They did tighten it up a bit for PC. The good thing is that Bioware are one of those developers who really listens to their fanbase - by the time ME2 is released you know that they'll have nailed the experience. Even so, stuff like the AI in ME1 can be phenomenal at times - at one point my weapon overheated and a Geth Prime had the drop on me...Wrex promptly charged in on the flank and flung it over to the other side of the room while Ashley drilled it with rounds. Awesome stuff :)

True, there is a repetitiveness to them for the most part though there are a rare few that offer something different. they focused their effort on the main worlds, that much is obvious and were probably pressed on deadlines. still the original content, and everything else makes the sides worth it.

AA you are right, it is able to be "beat" fairly quickly. that is.. if you do not explore side assignments, and there's plenty of them. I actually recommend this game to anyone who loves Oblivion. You do not truely "finish" a game until you do EVERYTHING you can in it. Even then, the replay value is thru the roof, with the New Career Plus =] just my thoughts lol.
