It doesn't sound like a standard 12 string, but Lenny did play a Framus 12 string (google it). I guess it didn't matter what he played. He could pull amazing sounds out of a cardboard box.
im gettin crazy tryin to figure out not only what the heall kind of tuning he's using but also HOW MANY STRINGS his guitar had..or at least..the guitar he used in this piece
snocap had some of Lenny's stuff for download....I am not sure if they had this album however....he was not afraid to explore the possibilities of guitar.
i'm not a big Shankar fan but this song is soooo great. Lenny was a true guitar master. forget all these heavy metal shredders and Hendrix, all i need is a few Breau albums!
