Cause and effect only makes sense when dealing with a dimension of time. Before the Big Bang, there was no matter, and therefore no time. Without time cause and effect has no meaning
@floyd316 Atheists get to say “its Ok for conscious-ness to exist on Earth, and for massive amounts of energy to exist in the universe, but its not Ok for someone to infer it could exist somewhere else (including outside space and time). In short, atheists are dogmatic, superstitious with their head in the ground.
@ytbconcord Actually, all that atheists say is "I do not believe that any gods exist.". That is the extent of atheism. As to your point, it is fine to infer anything you like. Just support it with empirical evidence and someone will take it seriously
@floyd316 His point is that this nerd uses physical laws and evidence as his source of final refutation when it suits his purpose, but then when it doesn’t suit his purpose he tosses it aside and says, “my not knowing anything and ridiculous ‘something-from-nothing-God-workarounds’ are more important then you’re inferences based on existing physical laws and evidential inferences, because I don’t want to go there for non-scientific reasons”
@floyd316 Yes, but something outside of Time and Space had to create the law of cause and effect in the first place (along with all the laws of this physical time space continuum). You’re right, anything from before (or outside of ) Big Bang doesnt have to solve the problems of violation of physical laws, but those inside time and space do.
