i was not talking about present time. peru has a very long deep history.

archaeologist believe that indians tribes lived in peru as early as 2000 B.C. cultures including the chavin, chimu, and nasca developed art, agriculture, government, and religions hundreds of years before the white men came to south america. the inca, an indian society centered at cusco, began expanding and conquering neighboring tribes between 1100 to 1200 A.D.

at the height of the inca empire's power, in the 1400's it extended from northern ecuador into northern chile, and from the pacific coast to the eastern slopes of the andes. in 1522, the spanish explorer pascual de andagoya ( 1495??-1548) became the first white man to enter peru. the spaniards enslaved many people of the inca empire. but in 1542, spain established the new laws, which granted freedom to many indians slaves...

I thought the indegenas (Indians) discovered Peru. Pascual visited Peru. Estas bien equivocado hevidt. Just like Colombus visited America - it was long discovered by native peoples.
