For example, the govt confiscated hundreds of security camera tapes from businesses surrounding the pentagon on the day of the attack. Not one single tape has been released that shows a plane flying into the pentagon.
Why would they do this? Does it mean the Govt staged 9/11 to get an excuse to go to war? No. But it does mean the official story is not entirely truthful.

I'm a liberal but there are a few things that bother me with "truthers" theories -
So the gov confiscated the video tapes of the plane hitting the pantagon - thats sketchy and creepy but it doesn't mean it's a lie. People claim NO plane hit the pentagon, thats crazy! You think that no one saw the plane? Thousands of people saw that plane, and if there had been no plane then it would be obvious. And as for the WTC, no one has seen buildings that tall (or even half as tall) fall.

Yeah absolutely. I do think they tried to cover up certain things, because there are conflicting reports and a boatload of missing information. But I think it's most likely just the same old cover-up they always do; incompetence and lack of leadership.

You are right it's not proof that no plane hit the pentagon. It is evidence of that though.
Is it possible that the US fired a missile into the pentagon, but the terrorists were still responsible? Maybe we shot down the plane that was intended for the pentagon, and we tried to cover it up.
I agree that hundreds of people would have come forward saying they saw WTC explode without planes, but that isn't necessarily true for the pentagon. At best maybe 20 - 30 people would have seen it.
