I didn't say I never was a Mormon. I was baptized a Mormon at age 17 and attended seminary each morning before my high school classes. I have read the Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine and Covenants.

I have the highest respect for Mormon families. I believe they present some of the greatest examples of right family life.
