The bookshelf method works though and if you don't want to ruin the game do what I did and make two saves, one with your new god like abilities and another with your normal playthrough

You have to complete the quest, i just tried to do the platter through wall glitch with platforms of Do Not Delete chest and it wouldn't even let read it while it was on the stand.

Go to bookshelf

Activate boockshelf

Scroll down INVENTORY go to Infinium

Activate (A) book and hit Exit (B) imediately after. *The key is for the Read Options of the book ( Do not read, Path's ext) to open while the book is not opened fully/glitched. When you think it is glitched you should have to press (A) twice to select something. Recomend "Do Not Read" until you know when it's glitched.

Choose path

Put back on bookshelf right away.

-Repeat, and save everytime.

PC player here, the patch seems to have taken this away. You store it in his ashes and retake it but can no longer choose new levels. Guess I'll just have to level up the old fashioned way, by decapitating everyone and everything that crosses my path.

@EpicBurrito741 Press A to open the book, select "Do not read." when the path choice menu comes up, then press A again to take the book once the path choice menu is gone. Easy.

By "A" I just mean whatever the activate key is for you, I'm on 360 myself so A is the activate button for me. On PS3 it will be X by default. I have no idea what it is on PC, it will be whatever you use to open doors/containers e.t.c.

I'm glad i didn't know about this when i did the quest. i would've done the glitch. then i would have ruined the game and lose the fun in ranking up and working hard. that is how i get in a game's multiplayer; i reach the highest level then i don't want to play it anymore. anyone else agree? this glitch is too much.

If u realized how time consuming it would be to get everyone of your skills to 100 you would see that... but I do agree if you went and did this quest to get the book before doing anything it will ruin the game... If you're playing on PS3/360 I mean, I guess on PC you could just use regular cheats via the console instead of exploiting a glitch. But yeah getting to a high level in this game is a bit of a chore if you've already done it half a dozen times lol.

I had already maxed out all the skills I wanted to anyway so doing this glitch doesn't kill the game for me. Chances are I'd probably have only gained an extra 2 levels by the time I finish the game

- activate empty bookshelf

- go to the Infinium in your inventory, read it

- as soon as you read it, close it and during the close animation spam the button to store it

- the Infinium will be placed on the shelf

- pick up the book from the shelf, DON'T READ IT, store it in your inventory

- repeat

I've found what is probably a quicker way to do this. Steps:

1. Go to your bookshelf and hit A.

2. Go down to your books and store Oghma Infinium.

3. As soon as you see the book being placed on the shelf, click "Read Oghma Infinium" and spam A until your back inside the bookshelf.

4. It should pop up with the message asking you which path to take. Select one.

5. Go down to books and store it again. Repeat.

I don't know if this works the same as other ways, but my skills leveled up 5x per read.

ahh...just figured it out. you have to open a blank bookshelf, read the book from your books menu, choose, then place it back on the shelf. then, to do it over and over you have to click on the infinum on the shelf, choose don't read, pick it up and repeat the process.

Ya I did this glitch, and sure i get to level 81(level cap) but i cant unlock all my perks. This is because there are 251 perks but u can only choose 81 out of those 251 perks. PC gamers are lucky because all they have to do to reach max level and get all perks is simply type a cheat code. Which leads to my question, is there any other possible way to get all your perks without using mod's and such on the Xbox 360?

XBOX 360: [Not Patched House] - Take a book to your house, save your game just in case you mess up. Open item Menu, go down to books. Drop your book. Click "Read" so you read it from the ground. Now go to the Skill you want. Click A, Quickly click B and then Spam click A about 4 times so you re-read the book again, once thats open, click A to Take the book. Now go to a bookshelf add the book to it, now get out of the menu. click "read" from bookshelf, now click do not chose and take it. Repeat

heres the steps. save before you do this just in case you mess up and the book gets removed

1. activate the shelf

2. while the shelf is still activated scroll down to the Ohgma Infinium and hit A to read it

3. as soon as you are done reading it press B and then store it on the shelf by pressing X

(make sure you don;t completely back out or the book will be removed)

4. pick the book back up off the shelf (do not read it this time)

5. repeat steps until you have the stats you want
